CNN’s Chris Cuomo received a fair share of criticism after accusing Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) of “carrying water” for President Trump.
By almost all accounts, Scott delivered a powerful speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) Monday evening, covering his life’s journey from “cotton to Congress.”
“It’s about the promise of America. It’s about you and me. Our challenges and heartbreaks, hopes and dreams,” he declared. “We have work to do, but I believe in the goodness of America, the promise that all men and all women are created equal.”
Scott also hammered Democrat nominee Joe Biden for comments in which he accused African-Americans of not being truly “black” if they vote for the President.

The riveting speech led Fox News personality Dana Perino to describe Scott as a “national treasure.”
“His story is incredible, but also he is able to show a contrast between the Republicans and the Democrats with a smile,” she said. “And there’s something to be said for that.”

Cuomo With the Reprehensible Sleight
Cuomo disagreed with the praise, instead taking what many would consider a racist jab at Scott’s speech.
“Do politicians lie? Of course. Do both parties engage in it? Yes … but not like Donald Trump,” Cuomo said failing to note his own network lies as much as any politician. “Nobody lies the way this man does, has, and will, that I’ve ever seen in politics. So, he’s lying to you.”
He accused Republicans of being President Trump’s “echo.”
“I mean, one’s his son. You know, the other one is his son’s girlfriend. So, OK,” Cuomo ranted. “But Tim Scott. You know, look, they’re carrying water for him. You know, Tim Scott was very careful about what he didn’t mention.”

Actor Robert Davi slammed Cuomo for the comments.
“That seems like a racist talking,” Davi tweeted. “Does that mean Obama is carrying Joe Biden’s water?”

Opinion columnist Rita Panahi remarked, “Surprised Fredo didn’t call him an ‘Uncle Tom’ … the Left hate minorities who dare think for themselves.”

Democrats Can’t Hide Their Hatred of Scott
The fact that Cuomo would engage in accusations of lying when he works for the most truth-challenged network in America is quite rich.
The fact that he would do so so swiftly after being getting caught in two major lies to the viewing public is astonishing.
Several weeks ago, Andrew Cuomo’s little brother was caught using statistics from the Obama administration as a means to ‘prove’ President Trump is responsible for “systemic racism.”

In April, Cuomo was leveled by Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he was caught staging a segment showing him emerging from his basement quarantine.
Turned out – by his own admission – he had been out in public a week earlier, breaking social distancing requirements, and got into an altercation with a “loser, fat tire biker” that required a police report filing.

Cuomo, meanwhile, isn’t the only one who likes to demean Senator Scott. In fact, Democrat politicians are so dismayed that a black man would dare promote conservative values, that they have consistently used racially-charged rhetoric to describe him.
Scott noted that during the process of developing the Republican plan for police reform, many Democrats referred to him as a “token” or “boy.”
A Democrat lawmaker even labeled his plan as a “token” effort.
“We cannot waste this historic moment,” Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) said from the floor. “Let’s not do something that is a token, half-hearted approach.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi literally accused Scott and his Republican colleagues of “trying to get away with … the murder of George Floyd” after they introduced their legislation.
Floyd was a black man killed in an officer-involved arrest.

The Senator admitted during that time that he was the recipient of numerous “racist messages” and placed the blame squarely on “liberal Democrats.”
The theme is consistent – Democrats do not like it when a black man or woman thinks for themselves. Change my mind.
