Chelsea Handler Says 2020 Dem Pete Buttigieg Is ‘Answer’ to Trump

Anti-Trump comedienne Chelsea Handler appeared on MSNBC Sunday where she had some interesting things to say about South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg. He’s officially launched his 2020 campaign to become the Democratic nominee for president.

Handler was asked by MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt if America was “ready” for a “woman president.”

“Well, listen, if Donald Trump was the result of electing a black man and the result of Barack Obama, then we need to go back around and get somebody like Pete Buttigieg,” Handler said. “I saw his speech earlier today. That’s inspirational. That’s aspirational.”

“It’s everything that should be the answer to a man like Donald Trump,” Handler added.

And you can be sure Handler is “eager” for an “answer” to President Trump.

Chelsea Handler Is a Longtime Trump Hater

In early April, Handler admitted that Trump’s win in 2016 made her go see a therapist.

“I had to pay a psychiatrist to listen to me (BS) about Donald Trump for about the first three weeks,” Handler told Maher. “And then once when we got past that and got to the real stuff, I realized the parallel there was my world becoming unhinged when I was a little girl, my brother died when I was nine years old. I had never related the two, but for me, as I can imagine it must have been for so many people, it was an emotional trigger of everything being destabilized and I realized how spoiled and privileged I had been all my life and realize to be this upset and this on-a-ten every day and the outrage and the anger, I just wanted to f***ing fight people, you know?”

“And I was like, ‘I have to go see a psychiatrist,’” she added.

Talk about “Trump-derangement syndrome.” She literally had to go see a shrink!

Trump makes Handler so nuts, that she even blamed the 2017 California wildfires on the president.

“Just evacuated my house. It’s like Donald Trump is setting the world on fire. Literally and figuratively. Stay safe everyone. Dark times,” she tweeted.

It’s one thing to not be happy with the outcome of an election. It’s quite another to be so upset about it that you’re seeking mental help over it or blaming massive fire disasters that have nothing to do with politics or policy on who sits in the White House.

Chelsea Handler might need for someone like Pete Buttigieg to be the “answer” to Trump. What she needs more is a grip on reality.
