CBS Reporter Bombshell: Obama WISHES He Had Trump’s Record With Minorities

CBS reporter Major Garrett dropped a bombshell that must have left his colleagues stunned, suggesting even Barack Obama would be envious of President Trump’s record with minorities.

Garrett made the comments during a roundtable discussion on Face the Nation, prefacing them by saying he is not a fan of President Trump’s rhetoric.

“His rhetoric is unacceptable,” Garrett suggested, before citing the media-generated Charlottesville hoax that The Political Insider has debunked several times.

“It can be fairly said that this administration, because of President Trump’s quiet prodding,” Garrett continued, “has done quite a bit for funding of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the First Step Act, which was a massive first step toward criminal justice reform.”

Swipes at Obama

Garrett proceeded to explain how various other policies have been enacted under this President that have been very beneficial to the black community.

“Just a couple weeks ago in this newly signed defense bill, there is a law that says if you are seeking work for the federal government or any contractor, you don’t have to be asked and you cannot be asked about your criminal history until right toward the end,” Garrett told the panel.

“That is a significant change, long sought by criminal justice advocates. Plus opportunity zones in the tax bill directed at communities of color,” he added.

“That is a legacy on the agenda side that almost any president after three years would want to claim, particularly President Obama.”

Trump Has Helped Minorities

There have been numerous accomplishments that, as Garrett suggested, would have been lauded by the mainstream media if they had taken place under Obama.

Because they are Trump’s accomplishments they go ignored.

Last year, the President signed an executive order that prioritized Historically Black Colleges and Universities, providing a boost to schools that the Obama administration had neglected.

He’s flat-out worked miracles in establishing consistent historically low unemployment numbers in the black, Hispanic, and Asian communities through deregulation and tax cuts.

Under this administration, technical education and vocational studies, programs that are heavily utilized by minorities, have received $1.2 billion in funding.

If these strides in minority communities continue, the President could see unprecedented levels of support in the 2020 election.
