Former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush are reportedly holding separate ‘disinformation’ conferences next week, coincidentally timed almost immediately after Donald Trump’s expected Presidential campaign announcement on Tuesday.

Sources close to Trump insist that his announcement will be the launch of a 2024 presidential campaign.

Bush, the following day, will host his The Struggle for Freedom conference in Dallas which will involve a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Obama, meanwhile, will be hosting a ‘democracy’ conference in New York City on the 17th.

Organizers tell the Daily Mail that the Bush and Obama conferences were not planned together and will “focus on the rising threats from authoritarianism and disinformation.”

Bush and Obama Battling Disinformation Following Trump Announcement

Bush and Obama battling disinformation in the era of Trump is super-rich considering they are closely associated with some of the biggest lies in political history.

Obama won distinction with Politifact’s “Lie of the Year” in 2013 when he repeatedly lied Obamacare into existence by telling Americans: “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan … If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”

And don’t get me started on the ‘Benghazi was the result of a YouTube video’ fiction his entire administration spun repeatedly after four Americans died during the attack in 2012.

Bush, meanwhile, famously promoted the ‘weapons of mass destruction’ narrative to draw America into war in Iraq and delivered a ‘mission accomplished‘ speech even though the war effort raged on for several years afterward.

It’s interesting that Bush’s ‘disinformation’ conference will also feature a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The former President, speaking at a forum sponsored by the George W. Bush Institute in New York in May, condemned the war effort in Ukraine, and in doing so accidentally roped in his own controversial history.

Speaking of Zelensky and disinformation, perhaps Bush could ask the Ukrainian President, who has been fleecing Congress for American taxpayer funds, about a famous quote he delivered that appears to similarly be fake news, war propaganda.

Zelensky’s famous line – “I need ammunition, not a ride” – has since been reported as having been completely fabricated.

David J. Kramer, of the Bush Institute, celebrated the Bush and Obama ‘disinformation’ conferences using the tired mantra of ‘democracy is in peril.’

“We’re very mindful of what’s happening in the United States, and we have to make sure we stay on a democratic path,” Kramer said, adding that the events are “terrific.”

Recognize Kramer’s name? A court filing in April of 2017 revealed he gave the thoroughly debunked Steele dossier to Buzzfeed.
