CNN Contributor Claims Jim Acosta’s Life Was in Danger at Trump Rally – There’s Just One Problem

April Ryan Jim Acosta life in jeopardy

CNN contributor April Ryan made a ridiculous claim that Jim Acosta’s “life … was in jeopardy” at a pro-Trump rally in Tampa, Florida last week, but a video shows him smiling and taking selfies in between live shots.

Fans of the President made their feelings about the liberal network very clear at the rally, shouting Acosta down with chants of ‘CNN sucks’ and ‘fake news.’ (RELATED: ‘CNN Sucks!’: Jim Acosta Whines That Trump Rally Crowd Doesn’t Like Him).

Ryan said she feared for her colleague’s life due to the crowd’s hostile reaction, a result of Trump’s mean comments.

“This president, President Donald. J. Trump, has stoked the flames for reporters to feel like their lives, their safety, their lives are in jeopardy at these rallies,” she said. “This has now gone beyond politics. This has gone into life. This has gone into changing lives.”

Acosta, of course, played it up by whining that the response he received from the crowd was “unAmerican,” then moaned that he is “tired of this” treatment. (RELATED: Sarah Sanders Just Said Something That Forced Jim Acosta to Walk Out of the Room).

“I’m tired of this,” he whimpered. “Honestly … I’m tired of this. It is not right. It is not fair. It is not just. It is un-American to come out here and call the press the enemy of the people.”

Somebody brilliantly put Acosta’s melodramatic comments to music …

Ignoring Acosta and April Ryan’s theatrics, there is video suggesting the atmosphere in Tampa wasn’t nearly as life-threatening as they’d like you to believe.

In fact, Acosta may have forgotten, but he posted a video on his own feed showing his bravery in “taking selfies with Trump supporters in Tampa.”

“Really enjoyed talking to some of the folks at the rally and hearing their concerns,” he wrote adding that the media’s job is to present both sides of a story.

Other photos have surfaced showing that Acosta was in absolutely no danger with the crowd on hand.

It’s pretty funny hearing Acosta lecture ‘deplorables’ on the media’s need to present both sides of a story, then watching them neglect to do so by failing to note that Jim was hamming it up with the very same people which allegedly threatened his life.
