U.S. women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe accepted an invitation from Chuck Schumer to meet with the Senate, weeks after spurning any hypothetical offers from the President.
“Thank you, Chuck Schumer, for inviting us out,” she said. “We are very happy to accept your invitation to come.”
The Democratic Senate minority leader extended an invitation during remarks on Monday, further politicizing the sports team by pushing an equal pay myth between men’s and women’s soccer teams.
“While today we celebrate their victory, we also recognize that these women, these athletes, have challenges and they make us really think about the future of women’s sports,” said Schumer. “They make us grapple with the deep unfairness in how female athletes are treated, and paid, compared to their male counterparts.”
Hard to believe a leading Democrat would politicize a sports event and lie while he was at it.
The disparity in pay is quite justified when breaking down the numbers. In fact, it already favors the women based on revenue from past World Cup events, according to Forbes Magazine …
As Dwight Jaynes pointed out four years ago after the U.S. women beat Japan to capture the World Cup in Vancouver, there is a big difference in the revenue available to pay the teams. The Women’s World Cup brought in almost $73 million, of which the players got 13%. The 2010 men’s World Cup in South Africa made almost $4 billion, of which 9% went to the players.
Math, you see, is hard.

Rapinoe Already Accepted an Invite From Ocasio-Cortez
Rapinoe accepted an invitation from fellow anti-American, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who suggested the women’s soccer team visit the House.

No word on if the two will get together and swap stories about how they despise the country that gave them the public forum they now abuse.
Rapinoe, who spends her time during the national anthem kneeling like her cowardly colleague Colin Kaepernick, announced that after helping her team to victory, she is “not going to the f***ing White House.”
The White House has previously said the team would be invited and celebrated “win or lose.”
Trump, however, has been known to rescind sports team invites when the team is clearly composed of people who would rather disrespect the office of the Presidency than to celebrate their accomplishments.
Maybe Rapinoe and Trump Will Meet on the Debate Stage?
According to the left-leaning Public Policy Polling, Rapinoe actually polls higher than Trump in a hypothetical 2020 presidential election matchup – 42-41.
“Rapinoe may be an unlikely Presidential candidate but her numbers still speak to a broader truth about Trump’s standing – the fact that he polls in the low 40s against any Democrat he gets tested against,” the firm said in a statement.
Or it means that the left is so virulently opposed to Trump they’ll say just about anything to make him look bad.
Of course, we all know how accurate liberal polling numbers are anyway. They’re not only hypothetical, but they’re also fictitious. We’re sure Hillary Clinton can attest to that.
