Politicians aren’t exactly known for having sterling reputations, but throughout her extensive career, Hillary Clinton has taken the term “duplicitous” to entirely new levels. Here are just eight reasons why Crooked Hillary should retire from politics for good.
8. Travelgate
Not long after Bill Clinton became president in 1993, Hillary Clinton allegedly engineered the firing of the entire White House travel office so that all seven employees could be replaced with Clinton allies. The White House downplayed Hillary’s involvement in the scandal at the time, but a 1996 memo written by David Watkins, the former top administrative aide at the White House, indicated that Hillary directly pressured him to gut the office. In 2000, independent counsel Robert Ray determined that Hillary had lied to investigators about her involvement in the scandal.
7. Whitewater
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bill and Hillary Clinton were business associates of Jim and Susan McDougal in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a real estate entity that would fold in 1989 when Jim McDougal’s Madison Guaranty Savings & Loan Association was shuttered by the federal government for illegal accounting. The Clintons’ involvement in Whitewater came under intense scrutiny during Bill’s first bid for the presidency. While neither Bill nor Hillary faced prosecution for their involvement in Whitewater, it was revealed in 1999 that prosecutors had prepared a criminal indictment of Hillary after investigators “doubted the veracity” of her “statements in interviews in 1995 and her testimony before a grand jury in 1996.”
6. Missing Rose Law Firm billing records
While working as an attorney at the Rose Law Firm in the mid-1980s, Hillary Clinton provided legal counsel to Castle Grande, another failed McDougal real estate venture. In 1994, congressional and Justice Department investigators working the Whitewater probe began issuing subpoenas for Clinton’s billing records at the firm. Clinton claimed she had no involvement in “any of these real estate parcels and projects,” but missing law firm billing records found in the White House in 1996 confirmed that she had charged McDougal’s savings and loan company for about 30 hours of work in relation to Castle Grande over four months in 1985 and 1986.
5. The Bosnia sniper lie
During her first failed presidential campaign in 2008, Hillary Clinton claimed that she came under sniper fire while arriving at an airport in Bosnia in 1996. As she stated at the time, “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
However, CBS News broadcast a video of Hillary’s arrival in Bosnia that proved her outrageous claim was an outright lie.
4. Benghazi
Hillary Clinton infamously blamed the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on an anti-Muslim YouTube video. However, a congressional investigation revealed that Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time of the attack, knew almost immediately that the raid was planned and executed by Islamist extremists. Further, emails indicate that Clinton’s State Department was advised to tell two different stories about what sparked the attack, one for the U.S., and one for Libya.
3. Six-figure speaking fees
Hillary Clinton famously bashed Wall Street in her 2016 presidential campaign, but she quietly made millions giving private speeches to the likes of Goldman Sachs. Bernie Sanders called on Clinton to release the transcripts of her speeches, but she cried double standard and refused to do so, which all but proves her hypocrisy.
2. Uranium One
There are numerous scandals concerning the Clinton Foundation, but the largest is undoubtedly the Uranium One scandal.
In three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Russian atomic energy agency Rosatom bought Uranium One, a Canadian mining company “with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West.” At the same time, millions of dollars flowed from Uranium One to the Clinton Foundation. The Clintons did not publicly disclose those donations at the time, despite an agreement that Hillary had made with the Obama White House to publicly identify all foundation donors.
1. Email scandal

Unfortunately, James Comey and the rest of the FBI protected her and held her to a different standard under the law, and she got away with something that would have landed anyone else behind bars.
