Following the news that 36,000 convicted felon illegal immigrants had been released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) wrote to the Department of Homeland Security demanding more information about the release of those among them who had been convicted of murder.
ICE probably thought it was being sneaky in its response by only releasing the zip codes of the cities where “169 ICE detainees with a homicide-related conviction who were released from ICE custody in FY 2013.” I’m sure they had a laugh at the thought of the average American citizen – whom they are supposed to work for – attempting to google each of the 134 zip codes and giving up. But Ross was able to write a script to reveal the city names:
