You’ve Met the ‘MAGA Republicans’ and the ‘Ultra MAGAs.’ Now, Get Ready for the MEGA MAGAs!

Last night President Joe Biden attempted to rally his party ahead of the midterms (where they’re postured to get shellacked) with a speech focused on, you guessed it, Republicans’ alleged ongoing assault on democracy.

So naturally, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre teed up the speech reading diligently from her Binder of BS, as I like to call it, letting reporters know that Republicans are, naturally, evil.

It would be comical if this were satire. But, instead, it’s sad and pathetic that the Democratic Party and leader of the free world have no other ideas for communicating to voters other than to stir up and reheat the same dry, tired leftovers from the rhetoric they started pushing two months ago.

It makes me wonder if they believe the nonsense they keep shoveling or assume we are too dumb to know better.

It’s probably a mixture of the two. So if you missed Ms. Jean-Pierre’s press briefing and her boss’ subsequent snooze fest of a speech, don’t worry; I got you covered as usual.

The Mega MAGA Republicans!

I empathize with press secretaries; it’s hard to be the face of an organization or team. While I didn’t hold a position of that stature, I often had to speak on behalf of terrible idiotic Commanders. Trying to spin their ridiculous ideas and thoughts into gold is often impossible. That being said, Karine Jean-Pierre is just the worst.

She introduced the preview of the President’s speech, stating:

“…the President has long talked about our nation being at an inflection point. He has been clear: Democracy is under assault, and we cannot pretend otherwise.”

So essentially, the same old, same old talking points. The best part, though, comes next:

“Unfortunately, we have seen mega MAGA Republican officials who don’t believe in the rule of law.”

I grew up loving the old Godzilla movies – Godzilla vs. Gigan, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla. Mega MAGA Republican sounds like a worthy adversary for Godzilla to fight.

I picture a massive mild-mannered conservative with laser eyes that zap hippie college drum circles. Perhaps Mega MAGA Republican also breathes fire and roasts juice bars and other progressive safe-havens. But, seriously, where do they come up with these names?

Who Was Taking Democracy For Granted?

Uncle Joe’s speech was not nearly as fire and brimstone as the one he gave two months ago in Philadelphia, although it had some of the same flavors. Perhaps the most perplexing line for me was:

“We can’t take democracy for granted any longer.”

I never take my democracy for granted; maybe that’s just me since I spent my entire young adult life serving my democracy. So here is another lukewarm nugget from the speech:

“We don’t settle our differences in America with a riot, a mob, or a bullet or a hammer.”

Unless, of course, you are Democrat. See: Summer of 2020.

But the cherry on top of this melting pile of mashed-up words and platitudes was when President Biden alluded to the thought that to vote for a Republican next week is to:

“…allow the dark forces that thirst for power…”

So we’ve gone from Mega MAGA Republicans, which sound like a giant lizard monster trapped in a barn somewhere in middle America, to something that sounds much more sinister and nerdy… like a Sith Lord from Star Wars.

Or we are more akin to another dorky pop culture reference, such as Sauron constantly searching for the votes to rule them all!

Give me a break.

Out Of Touch

The truth is Democrats are so out of touch with the regular everyday Americans, regardless of our political flavors, that all they can do is keep screeching the same frantic arguments as if their brains are stuck in a loop.

In an opinion piece on MSNBC, Ryan Cooper wrote a few weeks ago that the results of the midterms:

“…will determine if there are any more real elections in the future.”

Mr. Cooper goes on to exasperate that Republicans questioning election integrity is not more important to voters than, say, their ability to put food on the table:

“It’s bizarre that these issues aren’t front and center in election coverage instead of inflation, which is getting endless attention.”

The queen of election denial, failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, echoed this concern stating on MSNBC:

“I’m not sure they really understand the threats to their way of life.”

Oh no, we do, Hillary; it’s the terrible policies enacted by your party.

It’s Not Us; It’s You

The speech writing team for the White House must be on their C or maybe D team. The weak connections that the President attempted to make between the attack of Paul Pelosi by a deranged lunatic, the January 6th riot, and the midterm elections doubtful moved the needle towards the Democrats for next week.

Before the speech, Bernie Sanders’ 2020 campaign manager Faiz Shakir hoped the speech team was “rewriting it and focusing on the cost of living.” But, unfortunately, the Biden administration has made it clear that they don’t care about the cost of living.

The President spoke about all the Republican candidates who “won’t commit to accepting the results of the elections they’re in” last night, when many of those candidates were promoted by his own party! How embarrassing that the strategy to promote these alleged ‘election deniers’ would be an easy win for Democrats.

Here they are, desperately trying to suppress what appears to be a growing red wave next week.

The President stated last night that:

“This is not about me…It’s about the durability of our democracy.”

No, Joe, it is about you and your party in general.
