Earlier this week, we reported that the conservative country music star Jason Aldean was defending his anti-woke anthem “Try That In A Small Town” after CMT pulled its music video amidst liberal outrage over it. On Thursday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg and her liberal co-hosts joined the pile-on by bashing Aldean over this song.

‘The View’ Attacks Aldean
âWhy are you linking it to black people?â Goldberg asked of Aldean, according to Mediaite. âThis is a man who saw what happens when someone is out of control with their gunsâŚSo I donât understand how he could be that disconnected.”
This was seemingly a reference to Aldean being onstage performing at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas when a gunman opened fire on his audience, killing 60 people and wounding 413 more.
After some co-hosts of “The View” tried to give Aldean the benefit of the doubt, the radically liberal Sunny Hostin chimed in to say that she and Aldean are from the same Georgia small town, which she described as âthe most racist place in this country.â
âIâm actually not going to give him the benefit of the doubt and Iâm pleased that you are,â Hostin told her other co-hosts. “This man is from Macon, Georgia. My fatherâs from Augusta, Georgia, and Macon, Georgia. I spent many summers there. It is one of the most racist places in this country, so donât tell me that he knew nothing about what that imagery meant.â
âMy mother and father, because they were an interracial couple couple, were run out of South Carolina by the KKK. And my father is still scarred from that experience. And you are still scarred from that experience,â she continued. âSo donât tell me that not only was he aware of what he was doing by using that imagery, he embraces that imagery.â
Certifiable moron and lunatic Sunny Hostin says that Jason Aldeanâs hometown Macon, GA is âone of the most racist places in the countryâ
Macon is 54% black and 39% white.

‘You’ve Gone Too Far’
Goldberg concluded the segment by addressing Aldean directly, saying, âThis does go too far. Youâve gone too far.â

Aldean Defends His Song
This comes after CMT decided to pull the music video for “Try That In A Small Town,” and though the network refused to reveal why exactly it did this, it seems to be because of the liberal backlash to the song. Aldean fired back on Tuesday by defending both himself and his song from liberal attacks.
“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests,” he said. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isnât a single video clip that isnât real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”
“‘Try That In A Small Town,’ for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief,” he later added. “Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences. My political views have never been something Iâve hidden from, and I know that a lot of us in this Country donât agree on how we get back to a sense of normalcy where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night. But the desire for it to- thatâs what this song is about.”

Aldean is an outspoken conservative who has been a proud supporter of Donald Trump for years, so he’s no stranger to attacks from hateful leftists like Goldberg and her friends on “The View.” Here’s hoping that Aldean stays strong in the face of these attacks, and that he does not forget that the silent majority of Americans is with him!
