Juan Williams multiple assertions that Greg Gutfeld, co-host of The Five, is “in the bunker” for President Trump, started a heated exchange Wednesday evening.
The panel had been analyzing the testimony of convicted criminal Michael Cohen during a hearing before the House Oversight Committee when things started going off the rails.
Gutfeld, seeking an opportunity for panelist Morgan Ortagus to join the conversation, cut into Williams analysis of the President’s strategy to kill negative stories about him.
As a result, Wiliams accused Gutfeld of being “so deep in the bunker” before he was cut off with, “Oh shut up, Juan!”

“I’m in nobody’s ‘bunker,” Gutfeld continued. “Enough with your ‘bunker’—! I’m trying to be polite to somebody on the panel, Juan — which you won’t do, which you won’t do!”
I’m Going to Throw You Off the Set
It appeared Williams didn’t take Gutfeld’s ‘enough with your bunker’ comment seriously, as he raised the notion once again in a follow-up segment involving Jesse Waters.
Waters dismissed Cohen’s testimony as lacking anything newsworthy, something with which Juan clearly didn’t agree.
“Again, you’re so blind, because you, like Greg, are deep in the bunker,” asserted Williams.
“You know, if you say that again, I’m going to throw you off the set,” Gutfeld countered.

Gutfeld went on to claim Williams was making the tired liberal media analogy that anybody who defends the President must be a terrible human being.
“You know what the bunker means?” Gutfeld asked, animatedly pointing at Juan from across the table. “What your intimating is that who is in the bunker? Adolf Hitler, correct?”
Williams denied that’s what he was trying to say. Admittedly, it seems a bit of a stretch to make that leap in logic. Williams appears to be referencing a longstanding saying which means someone is willing to fight alongside a friend.
Gutfeld and Williams Tension
This isn’t the first time the pair of ‘Five’ co-hosts have struggled to get through a segment in a civil manner towards each other.
In June, Williams defended actor Peter Fonda’s reprehensible tweet threatening President Trump’s son Barron with violence as simply being “poorly-worded.”
Gutfeld was surprised to hear Juan unwilling to join in with the consensus that Fonda was extremely out of line.
That same month, Williams claimed Greg had called Otto Warmbier a ‘lemming,’ to which the latter responded by calling him a ‘moron.’
“You say Kerry and others are lemmings,” asked Williams. “Is Otto Warmbier one of the lemmings? Did he just go away, go off the edge?”
“That makes no sense,” Gutfeld fired back. “I did not say that. That was so wrong, Juan. I did not call Warmbeir a lemming, you moron.”

I NEVER watch this show BECAUSE of Juan Williams’ stupid, moonic comments. All the other panelists make coherent comments, not just because I agree with them, but Juan is a dope – STUPID, and a mosquito annoyance because he makes NO Sense at ALL.
GET HIM OFF THE SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re: Cohen. let’s be clear about the legitimate reason Schiff is “investigating”. it’s to prove that somehow it’s a “campaign finance violation” for Trump to pay his own money to keep someone from making tabloid worthy allegations against him. SO WHAT? we all know what’s really going on, the Dems are using their new-found power to feed the media their Hate Trump agenda. so Congress is inappropriately throwing away the taxpayers’ time when they actually have real work to do, and Schiff is trying to disarm the President from doing HIS job for the Country, how is this not TREASON?

how brilliant of these two to create this animosity! how many more folks will tune in now to see if the fists start flying?
Williams needs to go, and should take the screech voice Tarlov,, Shepard, and Wallace with him.
I call him Whine Williams… all he ever does is WHINE!
Still don’t know why Williams is on the show…if we wanted to hear a farting Demonrat we could turn to any of the other mainstream media shows.
Fox likes to have a village idiot or two on their network for balance. Juan Williams and Shep Smith are the current VI’s.

I am told that Williams has sons and they are Conservative Republicans so there is justice after all.

Well folks, even as a hard bitten conservative, I have to give this round to Williams. Regardless of his twisted and knuckle-headed comments and opinions, he has a tough job and normally does it well. As the paid straw man and foil for the four conservatives on “The Five”, Williams is usually far more civil than his predecessor, drunken Bob Beckel. My heart and sympathies are with Gutfeld, but he should not have let Williams goad him into threatening Williams. Williams is full of horse manure and Gutfeld can and should excoriate Williams for it, but never threaten.
Gutfeld owes Williams, and the audience, an apology. He can be funny, but he and lame brain Waters oftentimes go too far. Williams used to take such behavior lying down, but I’m glad to see that he now SOMETIMES stands up to those jackasses. Also, I have to wonder if Williams sometimes takes positions that he doesn’t really believe in because of pressure from management. Apparently, they believe that catfights are what their audience loves. You don’t tell your fellow panelist to, “shut up,” and you don’t threaten to throw them off the set. I’ve. noticed that Gutfeld never dares to treat Tyrus with disrespect, and he’s probably smart for that. I have a feeling that, one of these days, Tyrus is going to create a very ugly scene on the Gutfeld show. He has no good reason for doing so, but he just has a bad attitude, and he always seems on the verge of blowing up. My guess is that Gutfeld will handle it by running off the set, and I can’t say that I would blame him. I wouldn’t want to have a fight with Tyrus, either. WATCHOUT FOR TYRUS You heard it here first.
A more accurate expression of fighting along side a friend would be “standing shoulder to shoulder” with someone. Using being “in the bunker” does not really make a lot of sense in this setting. But then again making sense out of the many ramblings of Juan Williams is an oxymoron.

There was a time when I had some sympathy for Juan when he got thrown of NPR or PBS, but he’s always been a rather left wing dude and defends the mostly indefensible. ANd Greg did get one thing correct, Juan is a moron for the most part.
Juan Willams is so wrong for The Five. No personality, no humor and no common sense. I watch the show, but when Juan gets on a roll, I just mute the TV.
The ‘Juan’ is Fox News token demoncrat, a true subservience of which there are multitudes today.
We have trash pick up early each Thursday mornings where will have resided since 1976 and similar arrangements are needed just as was apparently suggested and especially in this incident by Mr. Gutfied!!!
I think there is a purpose, sort of method to the seeming madness, these lefties are invited into these forums in order to display how foolish, ignorant and plain dumb they are. I saw them on The O’Reilly Factor and now see them on Tucker Carlson’s program and came to the conclusion that there had to be a reason to have nit-wits like that on their shows. O’Reilly actually cut a couple of people off because they were unreponseive to his question and kept talking over him. I wish Tucker would do that.

I agree with all the negative remarks about Juan…I don’t even watch the Five anymore … used to love Martha and Tucker … but turn them all off now when some LCD (Lying Communist democrat) comes on – especially disgusting Marie BARF and the scratchy voiced Tarlov. Gave up on Drudge – Discovered WhatFinger.com; much better news coverage. WND and a few other web sites and I don’t have to listen to the LCD’s.

I don’t understand why Juan is still on that show he gets along with no one and is such and ass when he talk about his hate for the republicans. He need to leave Fox as he is so disgusting.
I don’t often comment on news articles, but do enjoy reading what others have to say. I welcome the opportunity, however, to weigh in on Juan Williams. How did he manage to become part of the panel on The Five? I can’t stand to listen to him, and I can’t think of anything that he has EVER said that I could even minimally consider logical, reasonable, or intelligent. Talk about somebody being “in the bunker.” He is so steeped in leftist ideology that you know where he stands on every issue. Is there anybody else who could be a little more reasonable? Please, he needs to go do something else. When he speaks, my whole being has a negative reaction.

Juan spins everything around some of the things he says about the President is just so bias. Jesse usually puts him in his place, but I guess he really stepped on Greg’s toes one too many times. Good for you Greg.

Personally can’t stand Juan Williams. To me he is a bigot and very racist. Really hard to stand looking or hearing his voice. Will usually mute the sound when he is talking. Realize FOX has to have its share of stupid people and they do have that in Williams, Tarlov and Timm and a few others. Wish they did not have to have these morons on period!

juan is a a==hole who should not be on tv.
Juan is the same as any other “token” liberal they could get to be on the show. Actually I think they have given him too much leeway and he seems to be getting braver in his comments. Good that Gutfield has called him out on his comments lately.
