Tucker Carlson, in an appearance with SiriusXM radio host Megyn Kelly, gave his thoughts on possibly being selected as the Vice President to Donald Trump.

Trump has for some time indicated that he has an interest in Carlson joining his campaign.

“I like Tucker a lot – I guess I would,” Trump said during a recent radio interview. “I think I’d say I would, because he’s got great common sense.”

The pair were later spotted together palling around at UFC 295.

Last week, Axios added fuel to the fire, citing multiple sources in a report suggesting who Trump would pick to serve in his cabinet. The column alleges that former First Lady Melania Trump is pushing for Carlson to be Vice President.

“She thinks Carlson would make a powerful onstage extension of her husband, a source close to Trump told us,” Axios wrote. “The former first lady has made few campaign appearances this time around — but a Trump-Carlson ticket might encourage her to hit the trail.”

Would Carlson Be Trump’s Vice President?

In the interview with Kelly, Carlson does not hold back in his praise for the former President, labeling him “charming” and impossible not to like when in his presence.

“I’m a total sucker for Trump, I think he’s– you know, personally I get along with Trump really well,” Carlson revealed.

“The closer I am physically to Trump, like if I’m with him in the room, I always love Trump and I think it’s impossible not to, and you know the experience,” the former Fox News host continued. “He’s just charming.”

Would the Carlson be willing to serve as Vice President, however? It seems very unlikely.

“But serving in politics with anybody, I mean that’s just– that’s a– it’s a lot for me to think about because I just don’t think I’m really suited for that,” he said.

Who Wants To See Carlson As VEEP?

Carlson seemed to express doubt that anybody would even want to see him running for Vice President.

“Would anyone want to see a guy like me run for office?” he asked.

Kelly responded as many conservative voters might, even suggesting his goals should be a bit loftier.

“Yes!” she replied. “You’re not gonna end your life without having been probably president, maybe vice president.”

The public has seen Carlson’s effect on the world stage in recent months since his firing.

The former Fox News host marched with anti-amnesty protesters in Spain last month, earning him praise from those on the streets and online commentary suggesting that he is essentially a world leader now.

Carlson has frequently interviewed world leaders as a media personality on the X social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter. These world leaders include Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who believes that Trump is the only man who can bring peace to Ukraine.

Carlson also held a discussion with Argentinian presidential candidate Javier Milei, who railed against socialism and praised Trump during their talks.

Milei would go on to win his election.

Puck News reported that Carlson had been well-received in his visits to the Middle East as well.

“I can’t imagine spending time with politicians,” he told Kelly even as he spends time with politicans.
