Tucker Carlson Blasts Fox News For Cutting Away From Trump Press Conference On Alleged Voter Fraud

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson took a shot at his own network after they cut away from a press conference held by Team Trump regarding alleged voter fraud.

The press conference, held in Washington, D.C. on Monday, featured Kayleigh McEnany and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel discussing Pennsylvania litigation and an overview of the post-Election Day landscape.

Fox, who received an extraordinary amount of criticism for prematurely calling the presidential race in Arizona, something even the New York Times said “changed the tenor of the night,” began to air the event before cutting it off.

McEnany claimed that the Trump campaign “want(s) every legal vote to be counted, and we want every illegal vote …” before Cavuto interjected.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa – I just think we have to be very clear,” he said.

“She’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting,” Cavuto continued.

“Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this.”

Tucker Carlson Rips His Own Network For Cutting Away

During his Monday night broadcast, Carlson took a subtle jab at Cavuto and his own network for making the decision to cut away from McEnany.

“In a democracy, you can’t ignore honest questions from citizens,” Carlson said.

“You can’t dismiss them out of hand as crazy or immoral for asking,” he continued. “You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like.”

It isn’t simply the accuracy of the charges that are newsworthy.

The fact that people are legitimately asking these questions itself is newsworthy.

Earlier in the monologue, Tucker said: “If after all the questions have been answered it becomes clear that Joe Biden is a legitimate winner of the presidential election, we will accept that and encourage others to accept it too.”

What is Going On With Fox News?

President Trump’s campaign was furious with Fox News for what they considered a premature call of Arizona in favor of Joe Biden.

They went so far as to describe the network’s Decision Desk director Arnon Mishkin “a Clinton-voting, Biden-donating Democrat.”

Carlson seemingly didn’t like his network’s actions that night either.

“I’m not privy to the math, I’m not certain how, even after the explanation from Chris Stirewalt, how that decision was made,” Carlson criticized.

“I think our viewers trust us, but people are concerned.”

Right now, Tucker Carlson is the gold standard in media and commentary, averaging 5.36 million viewers in October.

If he is growing leery of some of the decisions being made by his network, perhaps Fox News may need to reevaluate the kind of product they’re putting out for the American people.
