Trump Wants CNN’s Chris Cuomo Fired After Audio Reveals Him Discussing Sexual Misconduct Allegations

President Trump tweeted Wednesday that CNN “has no choice” but to fire Chris Cuomo after secretly recorded conversations surfaced between the anchor and lawyer Michael Cohen discussing allegations of sexual misconduct.

The audio, obtained and played by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, shows the pair discussing journalists prying Cuomo’s former employer, ABC News, about allegations women have made against him.

“You know, I’m always careful when I talk to media. Do you know how many f***ing phone calls I’ve gotten from people at ABC who say that reporters are calling and lying about things they’ve heard about me, to try to get stories about me when I was at ABC?” Cuomo rants.

He then notes a particular example.

“Guys calling and saying, ‘I heard he was the Charlie Rose of ABC. He used to invite women to a hotel and open his bathrobe,'” the super-modest CNN host conveys. “Do I look like the kind of f***ing guy who’s gotta do that?”

Trump Hammers Fredo

During the conversation, Cuomo seemingly references other allegations made against him.

“Women who do work there saying, ‘Oh yeah, you know, some of these men,’ naming me with other guys, ‘you know, we bumped into each other once in the elevator, and he put his hand on my shoulder, and he made me really uncomfortable,'” he whines.

Carlson notes that such audio for anybody else would have led Cuomo himself to publicly shame that person.

“If women made those claims against you, Chris Cuomo might very well denounce you on his TV show,” accused Carlson. “Call for your firing, call for your banishment from decent society.”

“These are women making the charges, after all. You must believe women.”

President Trump responded to the noteworthy recording by calling Cuomo, the younger and far less vital contribution to society brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, ‘Fredo’ three times, suggesting CNN has no choice but to fire him over the revelations in the audio.

“Will Fredo be fired by Fake News @CNN?” Trump asked. “He speaks with great disrespect about women, and it will only get worse.”

“Fredo’s Ratings are bad, so this is the time. Always terrible to speak to sleazebags, especially when you are being recorded,” he continued. “CNN has no choice, Fredo must go!”

Will CNN Believe These Women?

One has to wonder if Cuomo’s colleague, Jake Tapper, will be chiming in on whether or not there should be some sort of reckoning over these allegations, whatever they may be.

Tapper, after all, had a lot to say about President Trump the last time he criticized somebody of unwanted sexual advances.

“You can do anything except criticize other alleged offenders without folks like us pointing out the rank hypocrisy of it,” Tapper said.

What about your rank hypocrisy and that of your colleague?

In 2018, CNN ran an op-ed accusing Republicans of “standing by their man,” Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, since “standing by men is what Republicans do.”

Will CNN continue to stand by their man?
