Unfortunately too many reporters no longer objectively report the news, they tend to add their bias or spin to the news, whether it be for political reasons or just to boost viewer ratings.
Although we might not have outright propaganda in this country, you could certainly fill books with the items and details, the news media omits or leaves out of a story. To a certain point, I can understand Donald Trump skipping the debate, especially if and when a moderator is no longer a neutral facilitator of an honest debate.
From MSN:
The “Donald J. Trump Special Event to Benefit Veterans Organizations” will be hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with doors opening at 5 p.m. local time, and the event itself starting at 8 p.m. — exactly when Fox News lifts the curtain on its main stage debate.
The real estate mogul announced yesterday through his campaign that he will not be attending the debate over concerns about “bias” from Fox News anchor and debate moderator Megyn Kelly.
Trump blamed Fox statement for not participating in debate, insisting it wasn’t the Kelly feud.
At a pre-rally press conference Tuesday, Trump told reporters he planned to organize a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project to help injured vets, but it remained unclear if the organization was involved in the special event unveiled tonight.
Here’s an Eventbrite page saying that Trump will be holding this event at Drake University tonight opposite the debate. The actual email announcement from Trump is pretty thin and lacking in much detail:
I am sure more information will come down soon, and this is going to be very special. A lot of the political heads, thinking politically, don’t give Trump a chance if he misses the debate, but his shadow just might grow larger after this show of defiance.
I’m glad to see someone stand up to the press, which says what it wants, and no politician dares to go up against them because they got the microphone… and we, the people, are relegated to making comments – if anyone reads the endless comments.
Speaking of the press, here’s their take on what will happen to Trump by skipping the debate:
This is not a regular election; this is something entirely different and new. Elections from now on will be so much different.
