President Trump might have helped reveal possibly damning information about the FBI’s years-long investigation into the Trump campaign and Russia collusion. And while the revelation isn’t verified by any means, it was enough to send former FBI Director James Comey’s water boy into a childish fit.

We know that the FBI had an informant on the Trump campaign. And we know that the informant, Stefan Halper, may have provided misleading information about the Bureau’s investigation into Russian involvement in the Trump campaign. What we don’t yet know is when exactly the FBI investigation into the Trump campaign began. The official story is that the probe began on July 31, 2016, thanks to former Trump aide George Papadopoulos drunkenly mentioning possible collusion to an Australian diplomat in London. But as the Wall Street Journal reported, Halper met with another Trump staffer, Carter Page, weeks before the Papadopoulos incident, contradicting the timeline.

But now we’re getting even more of a hint that the FBI’s investigation into the Trump began even earlier. The President tweeted out the following:

If it’s true that the FBI was investigating Trump way back in 2015, then it’s clear that the agency has been lying to the American people for years.

Of course, Comey’s former lackey came to his defense, tweeting back at the President:

Sounds like someone touched a nerve, huh?

So what is Trump referring to in his tweet? What did this text message say?

The text messages shared between the two FBI lovers actually refer to “oconus lures.” It sounds Latin, but it’s actually an acronym.

Ryan Saavedra of The Daily Wire notes that the phrase could refer to a possible investigation into foreign influence:

Campbell noted the specific message between anti-Trump agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that most likely led to the claim happened on December 28, 2015, when Strzok asked Page: “You get all our oconus lures approved? ;)”

OCONUS is an acronym for “Outside Continental United States,” and “lures” would appear to mean bait or trap. The key question here is whether or not the agents were talking about the counterintelligence operation into the Trump campaign which is thought to have launched in the summer of 2016.

So it’s not clear if the investigation really dates back to December of 2015. It very could, or the reference could be to something completely different.

But since the FBI has been less than forthcoming about its involvement with the Trump campaign, we need to get to the bottom of what exactly happened. The American people deserve no less.
