Trump Fires Back At Ex-Republican Rep. Comstock And Other ‘RINO Losers’ After She Jokes About Him

Trump Comstock

Earlier this week, we reported that former GOP Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA) had spoken out to joke about former President Donald Trump. Now, in classic Trump fashion, the ex-president is firing back in a big way.

Comstock’s Comments

“I understand Republicans want to get away from Donald Trump. I mean, if Donald Trump disappeared tomorrow, I don’t think you’d have many Republicans in the search party, right? Maybe a few prosecutors, but not Republicans,” Comstock said while appearing on “Meet The Press” on Sunday. “So they want to get away from him, but the problem is he’s not going to go away.”

“This is not about Democrats or Republicans. It’s about the country, and it’s about getting to the truth, and it’s about protecting the Capitol, the people who work there, and also making sure this never happens again,” she added.

Trump Fires Back

Trump has since fired back in a big way, releasing a statement torching Comstock and other Republicans like her.

“RINO Former Congresswoman Barbara Comstock of Virginia, who lost her race conclusively to someone she should have easily beaten, now goes around telling Republicans how to get elected,” Trump said.

“She had no problems being with me while in the Oval Office, or when she needed something,” he added. “She and other RINO losers like Mitt Romney, Little Ben Sasse, Lisa Murkowski, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and Karl Rove are what’s really wrong with the Republican Party, not the great MAGA Republicans, Conservatives, and Patriots!”

This comes after Comstock lost her reelection bid in Virginia’s 10th district to Democratic Rep. Jennifer Wexton back in 2018.

Comstock is one of the so-called Republicans involved with “A Call for American Renewal,” which is ostensibly an effort to create a new national party in the wake of Trump.

She told CSPAN last month that the effort is a “center-right group of Republicans, former Republicans, and independents who don’t want to be Democrats … but want to restore” the party.

Comstock added that the party was created partly because of the “grip” Trump continues to hold on the GOP.
