CNN is composed of masochists who seemingly never tire of getting insulted and verbally beaten by President Trump.
It all started just before Trump’s presidency when the real-estate billionaire said the immortal words that have become his own mantra: “you are fake news.” (RELATED: At First Press Conference, Trump Calls CNN Fake News!)
Trump has never forgiven CNN for incessantly reporting fake stories about his administration. Now, a year and a half into his presidency, he refuses to kowtow to the network, slamming it at every chance.
During his visit to the United Kingdom, President Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May held a joint press conference. Per usual, a CNN reporter, likely Jim Acosta, tried to shout out a question to President Trump. That’s when Trump pulled out a flamethrower and scorched him.
Take a look at the hilarity:
After criticizing CNN, Pres. Trump declines to take a question from a CNN reporter at joint presser with Theresa May. “CNN is fake news. I don’t take questions from CNN.”
Pres. Trump then called on a Fox News reporter: “Let’s go to a real network.” https://t.co/J203tu17bY pic.twitter.com/yxe1Ya2xeY

OUCH. Could you hear the sting felt by the deflated reporter after that brutal put down? He better put some ice on that.
The thing is, Trump probably would have taken the question from CNN if it wasn’t rudely shouted like it was. Trump called on John Roberts of Fox News. The CNN reporter (again, likely Jim Acosta) insisted on shouting, which is not only disrespectful of the President but also the other journalists around him.
Every journalist wants to ask the President of the United States a question. If they all demanded to be heard and shouted over one another, nothing would get answered. But that’s apparently the strategy CNN wants to take.
What’s funny is that Trump did eventually answer a question from CNN, albeit while he was on the run:
As Trump was leaving @Acosta shouted question: “Will you ask Putin to stay out of US elections.” Trump turned over shoulder and said “yes.”

Will that placate the network? Hardly. CNN has proven to be a less a journalistic outlet than a celebrity gossip network. It only makes sense, then, that they focus so much on Trump’s foibles. The audience wants entertainment – not news. And that makes CNN no better than the National Enquirer.
