Former President Donald Trump took clear joy in the crushing defeat suffered by Never Trump Republican Liz Cheney in Tuesday’s GOP primary for Wyoming’s at-large House seat.

With 99% of the vote tallied, numbers show Cheney lost to Republican Harriet Hageman, her Trump-backed challenger, by an absolute landslide.

The latest numbers show Hageman won by 37.4%, well above what even some gloomy polls had predicted leading into primary day.

Trump celebrated the defeat of a woman who has been nothing short of obsessed with his every move.

“This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs,” he wrote on his Truth Social media platform.

“Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others,” he continued.

“Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now.”

Liz Cheney Promises to Continue Stalking Trump

It seems rather clear that, unlike Trump is suggesting, Liz Cheney has no intentions of ‘disappearing into the depths of political oblivion.’

With the media propping her up as an almost mythical entity, Cheney was interviewed by NBC’s “Today Show” where they talked about her future.

During the segment, the soon-to-be former Congresswoman announced the launch of a new organization whose primary goal is to keep Donald Trump from ever becoming President again.

And herein lies why Cheney lost. She stands for nothing. No platforms. No solutions to offer.

She simply wants to fight Donald Trump.

Aside from an obviously unhealthy obsession, Cheney has the same moral set as any other Democrat – Which is to say, there are none.

Whatever It Takes … Including Running in 2024?

Liz Cheney remained defiant in the wake of her epic defeat, vowing to continue taking the fight to former President Trump. In a sign that an intervention in the Cheney family is required posthaste, she compared herself to Abraham Lincoln.

“The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all,” Cheney told a crowd of supporters in Wyoming.

“Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our union, and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history.”

Cheney, to put it mildly, is no Abraham Lincoln. But it does appear she is looking to follow his path and win ‘the most important election of all.’

And most important to her is getting that big ol’ mean orange man.

“I will do whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office,” she said.

When asked point blank if she intends to run for President, there was no dismissal of the idea, but an indication that she’d make a decision down the road.

Running for president, said Cheney, “Is something I’m thinking about and I’ll make a decision in the coming months.”

Trump, you may be surprised, also had thoughts on a presidential run by Liz Cheney.

“The Fake News Media is claiming that Liz Cheney has such a ‘wonderful and bright’ political future,” he mocked. “Maybe they didn’t notice that she lost by nearly 40 points?

Added Trump, “She’s too angry and sick to succeed in the future, but who knows!”

‘Angry and sick’ – sounds like she’ll be running as a Democrat.
