Trey Gowdy Names Reporters Who Did Adam Schiff’s Bidding

On Friday, former congressman Trey Gowdy vowed to name those in the media who “aided and abetted” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff in spreading the Russian collusion conspiracy.

Over the weekend, he followed through.

In a segment with Sean Hannity late last week, Gowdy vowed to “give you the reporters names” who “sat there and helped Adams Schiff perpetrate this fraud.”

“The media – not only did they not provide scrutiny over Adam Schiff – they aided and abetted him,” he added, citing outlets such as The Washington Post, Politico, and the New York Times.

Following Up

During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Gowdy decided it was time to follow through and identify the reporters who helped Schiff “peddle” the collusion conspiracy.

When asked originally to do just that, Gowdy joked “Well, I hope you have a three-hour show.”

“Let’s just start with Politico,” he said. “Kyle Cheney is just an acolyte for Adam Schiff.”

Gowdy then pivoted to CNN.

“Manu Raju from CNN,” he accused. “Nothing Schiff wanted out, made public — no leak was too low for Manu Raju and CNN.”

Gowdy said you could essentially “fill in the blank” and land on a reporter at the New York Times who helped Schiff share the now-debunked information.

The Russia Hoax

Isn’t it funny how every time President Trump says something is a hoax or makes what the media identify as a wild accusation, that it turns out to be true?

Transcripts of the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia probe released last week show Obama officials testifying time and again that they had no evidence of collusion with the campaign of President Trump in 2016.

Schiff, even with that knowledge, repeatedly stated through friendly media outlets that there was “direct evidence” of collusion, selectively leaking bits and pieces of the investigation.

Gowdy ripped him for wasting “the longest damn year of my life” with the fake Russia story.

Leaky Schiff

Gowdy has been calling out Schiff as the leaker on the Intelligence Committee for years.

In 2018, Gowdy called out the Russia investigation by the committee, of which he was a member, as unserious.

“Serious investigations don’t leak,” he said. “Serious investigations don’t make up their mind first and then go in search of the evidence to validate.”

In 2019, Gowdy called Schiff a “deeply partisan” member of the committee who is wrong on a perpetual basis and is leaking information “like a sieve.”

And earlier this year, Gowdy said that top intelligence officials should stop giving high-level briefings to the California Democrat because the congressman is “a leaker.”

“No one is above the law, apparently except whoever leaks classified information out of Adam Schiff’s committee,” Gowdy told Fox News.

The question remains – Why was Schiff allowed to remain on the committee this entire time, especially knowing he was making false statements in his capacity as the Chair?

Why is he still there now?
