Washington, D.C.'s mayor turns to the White House for help after a massive sewer line collapse in the Potomac Interceptor dumped 240-300 million gallons of untreated wastewater into the Potomac River, one of the largest spills in U.S. history. The disaster hit January 19 near Clara Barton Parkway in Montgomery County, Maryland, with DC Water scrambling on bypass pumps and repairs alongside the National Park Service.
