Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer pushes legislation to designate the Pride flag as a congressionally authorized symbol, equal to the U.S. and military flags, after the Trump administration removed it from NYC's Stonewall National Monument for not meeting federal standards. The monument, birthplace of the modern LGBTQ movement, saw locals defiantly re-raise the flag, prompting Schumer's bill with Rep. Dan Goldman to lock it in nationwide and let national parks decide flag displays.
