Minneapolis Immigration Crackdown Ends - Tom Homan
The Trump administration is pulling back from Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis after Tom Homan, the border czar, announces its conclusion following meetings with Governor Tim Walz, Mayor Jacob Frey, and Attorney General Keith Ellison. Launched in December 2025 and expanded in January 2026 with 2,000 ICE and 1,000 CBP agents, the operation arrested 3,000 illegals amid protests, two fatal shootings by federal agents, and a court ruling that ICE violated 96 orders.
