Former U.S. Rep. Tom Malinowski has conceded the special Democratic primary for New Jersey's 11th congressional district to state Sen. Analilia Mejia, ending a closely contested race that remained too close to call for days after the February 5 primary. Mejia, who secured endorsements from Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, prevailed with 29.1% of the vote to Malinowski's 27.7%, a margin of approximately 889 votes.
