The federal government drags its feet on releasing the full Epstein files, despite the Epstein Files Transparency Act signed by President Trump in November 2025 mandating full disclosure by December 19. Deputy AG Todd Blanche promised partial drops, but by early 2026, less than 1% saw daylight, sparking demands from Reps. Khanna and Massie for a special master to force compliance. AG Pamela Bondi and Blanche fought back in court, and Judge Engelmayer denied the request.
