February 10, 2026·14 days ago·via Maine Morning Star

Sen. Susan Collins formally announces her bid for a sixth term in the U.S. Senate, writing in the Bangor Daily News that Maine needs her experienced leadership amid low trust in Washington. The only Republican running in a state Kamala Harris won in 2024, Collins draws praise from the National Republican Senatorial Committee as a battle-tested leader while facing primary challengers and a competitive Democratic field that may include Gov. Janet Mills.
