Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon believes if Joe Biden wins the election, President Trump will run for a second term again in 2024.
Bannon, in an interview with The Australian, said he thinks Trump will be re-elected, but regardless, 2020 won’t be “the end of Donald Trump.”
He also insinuates the only way the President can lose is due to some sort of election chicanery.
“I’ll make this prediction right now,” said Bannon.
“If for any reason the election is stolen from, or in some sort of way Joe Biden is declared the winner, Trump will announce he’s going to run for re-election in 2024.”

Steve Bannon Scenario Throughout History
Bannon’s theory seems unlikely, Trump would be 78-years-old in 2024. (Admittedly, perhaps the most energetic septuagenarian ever.)
Grover Cleveland is the only president in American history to serve two non-consecutive terms in office – between 1885–1889 and 1893–1897.
In the election of 1888, Cleveland won the popular vote but lost in the Electoral College vote to Benjamin Harrison.
Teddy Roosevelt, meanwhile, didn’t run for a third term initially but then ran for the Republican Party nomination again in 1912.
Upon losing, he launched a third party bid but ultimately lost to Woodrow Wilson.
After losing to John F. Kennedy in the 1960 election, Richard Nixon ran again and won the presidency in 1968.

Trump Confident He Won’t Have to Run in 2024
In a call to his 2020 campaign staff, President Trump delivered rousing remarks indicating his confidence in being reelected has risen in the last few days.
“Today is the best single day I’ve ever felt on either campaign,” he said.

“When I felt great about my last campaign, it was the final two or three days, especially the final day.”
“In this case, today is the best day that we’ve ever had… We’re doing really well. I just want to project that to you,” Trump told the staff.
“We are winning right now and they know it. They know there’s trouble brewing, so get off this phone and work your asses off.”

President Trump tweeted that his confidence is based on early voting reports, rally attendance, and the fact that Biden has shunned media attention since controversial news of his son’s emails surfaced.

Speaking at a forum with the Young Republican Federation of Virginia in October, Bannon predicted Trump would declare victory on Election Day.
“At 10 o’clock or 11 o’clock … on Nov. 3, Donald J. Trump is going to walk into the Oval Office, and he may hit a tweet before he goes in there … and he’s going to sit there, having won Ohio, and being up in Pennsylvania and Florida, and he’s going to say, ‘Hey, game’s over,'” Bannon declared.
In a memo to supporters, Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon warned of getting too over-confident in the polls.
“The very searing truth is that Donald Trump can still win this race, and every indication we have shows that this thing is going to come down to the wire,” she said.
