Squad On The Attack: Tlaib Says She Won’t ‘Be Silent,’ AOC Says It’s Time To ‘Take Our Gloves Off’

Tlaib AOC Squad

A pair of prominent ‘Squad’ members are on the offensive, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) saying it’s time to “take our gloves” off in the battle against Republicans and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) hitting back hard against moderate Democrats, saying she won’t “be silent.”

The comments coming from high-profile members of the extreme left faction of the Democrats signal recognition that they are about to play bigger roles in shaping the party.

Tlaib fired back at moderate party members for suggesting proposals to “defund the police” and promote “socialism” were responsible for their disastrous showing in House elections last week.

This came after audio of a wild conference call featuring several members of the Democrat caucus “angrily confronting” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over their election losses and blasting radical progressives leaked online.

“Squad” members fired back with allegations that moderates were being racist.

Tlaib Says She Won’t ‘Be Silent’ While Progressive Group Issues Memo Calling Moderate Dems ‘Racist’

Tlaib, seemingly still fired up over the confrontation, vowed that she won’t “be silent” despite criticism from her own party.

“We’re not going to be successful if we’re silencing districts like mine,” Tlaib told Politico following up on the heated conference call.

“Me not being able to speak on behalf of many of my neighbors right now, many of which are Black neighbors, means me being silenced,” she continued. “I can’t be silent.”

Tlaib went on to suggest she has no interest in unity with other Democrats who don’t support defunding the police.

“We are not interested in unity that asks people to sacrifice their freedom and their rights any longer,” she said.

Additionally, a scathing memo from several progressive groups accuses Democrats of playing into Republicans’ “divide-and-conquer racism.”

“Democrats must take on the Republican Party’s divide-and-conquer racism head-on and not demobilize our own base,” the memo reads.

“Too often,” they add, “Democrats shy away from conversations about race and keep issues of economic justice and racial justice in separate siloes.”

This is absurd, since the only lens anybody in the Democrat party looks through is the prism of racism. Every disagreement with their platforms, every counterproposal, every conservative viewpoint to them is racist.

AOC Warns Republicans – The ‘Gloves Are Comin Off’

Meanwhile, back at the hall of Justice Democrats, Ocasio-Cortez was warning Republicans that the “Squad” has perhaps been holding back on them.

In the same Politico article, AOC actually claimed Democrats don’t allow conversations of racism to seep into their election efforts.

“Anti-racism plays zero percent of a role in Democratic electoral strategy — zero, explicitly, implicitly,” she told the outlet. “I’m not telling people to virtue signal, but there’s just like no plan for it.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on to suggest Democrats need to “take our gloves off with Republicans.”

She eschewed the idea “of working with Republicans all the time” and insisted Democrats need to “have an unapologetic agenda” rather than “trying to play to notions of civility.”

As per usual, the “Squad” is again off message and accidentally revealing the truth about the Democrat party.

While Joe Biden is out urging unity between the parties, Tlaib is calling everybody a racist and AOC is telling Democrats to do the same.

They don’t want civility. They want submission.
