Yesterday, Diamond and Silk, the Trump-supporting sisterly duo, had their name etched in immortality after numerous lawmakers cited them as an example of unfair censorship while hammering Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg during congressional testimony. We reported earlier this week that Diamond and Silk have seen their Facebook page reach significantly suppressed by the social platform.
The timing couldn’t have been better. When Zuckerberg took the hot seat before Congress, conservative lawmakers used the opportunity to speak about Diamond and Silk’s plight. First up was Rep. Marsha Blackburn:
Rep. Blackburn: “Do you subjectively manipulate your algorithms to prioritize or censor speech?”#Zuckerberg: “There are types of content like terrorism that I think we all agree we don’t want to have on our service.”

Then, Rep. Billy Long made Zuckerberg man up to the censorship:
Billy Long: “Do you recognize these folks?”
Mark Zuckerberg: “I do.”
Long: “Who are they?”

That was epic. But it didn’t end there.
Even Rep. Joe Barton got in on the action, getting Zuckerberg to admit that throttling Diamond and Silk was a mistake:
It’s great to see so much Diamond and Silk solidarity in Congress. Let’s hope Zuckerberg got the message and will free up the Trump-boosting pair so they can continue to reach their fans.
The pro-Diamond and Silk forces didn’t stop there, though. Roseanne Barr, whose hit reboot of her classic ’90s sitcom “Roseanne”, even came to their aid, lambasting Facebook for censoring the comedic duo:
