The streaming & smart TV company Roku has been among those targeted by the Left for boycott.

Why? Because they provide access to television channels and other alternative networks, and the NRA has their own network called NRATV. Given that Roku recently debuted as a public company, it wouldn’t be in their best interest to tick off the nearly five million (and growing) NRA members who exist out there.

Furthermore, there aren’t many places that NRATV airs. You can only watch it through AppleTV, Roku, Amazon FireTV, and Chromecast. Thus, while one of those providers dropping NRATV would be a significant blow to the network’s audience, it would also produce massive backlash, hence why all those service providers have not responded to calls to drop NRATV, except one, who is refusing outright.

According to Conservative Tribune,

Their message, in TL;DR form: if you don’t like NRATV, don’t watch it.

“We operate an open streaming platform, however our content policies prohibit the publication of content that is unlawful, incites illegal activities or violates third-party rights,” Roku spokeswoman Tricia Mifsud said, noting that the company’s open model allows users to choose and download what channels to watch.

And keep in mind, non-responses speak volumes, too. While the other three tech giants didn’t issue statements like Roku’s, none even bothered to acknowledge the Friday letters as of Monday morning.

They’ve learned something from the example of companies that have very openly announced they’re ending sponsorships with the NRA: Americans, by in large, support gun rights, and are willing to vote with their wallets.

Gun-rights supporters celebrated the decision on Twitter:

This came not long after FedEx also refused to cave to pressure, and stated that they would continue offering discounts to NRA members.

They’re wiser than those who caved – because they recognize that it’s conservatives who have the deeper wallets.
