A Bloomberg News report indicates that multiple migrant caravans are forming in Central America and are heading for the border in the coming weeks.
The caravans represent an “early test” for President-elect Joe Biden and his promised efforts to abolish President Trump’s substantial immigration reforms, according to Bloomberg.

The report cites Jose Luis Gonzalez, coordinator of the Guatemala Red Jesuita con Migrantes, who advises “there are going to be caravans, and in the coming weeks it will increase.”
Gonzalez notes that it is Biden’s promises to reverse Trump’s anti-illegal immigration policies that are, in part, motivating the caravans to make a move.
“Biden has pledged to abolish many of the migration policies of Donald Trump, including prolonged detention and separation of families, which were designed to deter illegal migration,” Bloomberg explains.

“This encourages more impoverished Central Americans to make the trip and test the Biden administration.”

Migrant Caravans Have a Friend In Joe Biden And His Immigration Policies
Where would these new waves of asylum seekers and/or potential illegal immigrants get the idea that America’s borders are about to become much more friendly?
Perhaps it is a report this week that Joe Biden intends to hire a “high-ranking” official at the Department of Justice (DOJ) whose sole job and focus will be to systematically undo President Trump’s immigration policies.
President-elect Joe Biden has vowed to immediately reverse the Trump administration’s restrictive immigration policies.

Perhaps it is promise after promise from the Biden campaign leading up to the election that he would create a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens because “we owe them.”
“We made a mistake. It took too long to get it right,” Biden says when asked why voters should trust him to deliver on immigration reform after the Obama administration presided over record deportations and failed to deliver on this promise. https://t.co/sfK5s5ZOTW #Debates2020 pic.twitter.com/MQEtGE0sQB

Or, perhaps it was his vow as President-elect to grant mass amnesty to over 11 million illegal immigrants within the first 100 days of his administration.
“I’m going to make a commitment in the first 100 days, I will send an immigration bill to the United States Senate with a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in America,” Biden vowed during an NBC interview.
Whatever the reason, as Gonzalez states, the migrant caravans are encouraged to test Biden out.

Biden Wants to Keep His Open Borders Policies Quiet
One of the most remarkable pieces of the Bloomberg report is the fact that the incoming Biden administration wants to keep their open-border policies on the down-low.
“Biden’s advisers are hoping to shift away from Trump’s policies without signaling that the border has been flung open, according to people familiar with the planning,” they claim.

This, despite the aforementioned examples of the President-elect declaring that essentially, the border is about to be flung wide open.

Not only will this be a test of Biden’s immigration policies, but it will be a test of his strict pandemic lockdown and mask mandate rules.

Gonzalez notes that the caravans aren’t concerned about these things saying, “People are no longer scared of the coronavirus.”
Will the new President allow people to break the law regarding our nation’s sovereign borders only to have them arrested for not wearing a mask or improperly social distancing?
If you’re encouraging the migration, then you’re encouraging the spread of the pandemic.
On an interesting side note, the Los Angeles Times ran a fake news story in October suggesting migrant caravans were being organized by Trump supporters to sway the election.
