Report: Maxine Waters Cancels Events After Receiving Threats

California Rep. Maxine Waters alleges that she has received hate mail and a “very serious death threat” in recent days, prompting her to cancel speaking engagements in Texas and Alabama.

Waters, who encouraged supporters to harass and intimidate members of the Trump administration is, according to her, being harassed and intimidated.

As you would expect, she blamed President Trump for what would appear to be isolated incidents from your typical anonymous keyboard warriors.

“As the President has continued to lie and falsely claim that I encouraged people to assault his supporters, while also offering a veiled threat that I should ‘be careful’, even more individuals are leaving (threatening) messages and sending hostile mail to my office,” she said in a statement.

Waters is referring to Trump’s accurate statement that implies one needs to be careful when playing with fire, as it just might come back to burn you.

Online warriors and angry letter writers are something one can expect when working in the field of politics. Every single Congressional office gets them. Just ask any Congressional staffer.

What one should never experience, however, is a death threat, something Waters says prompted a cancellation of one event in Texas.

“There was one very serious death threat made against me on Monday from an individual in Texas which is why my planned speaking engagements in Texas and Alabama were canceled (sic) this weekend,” she added.

“This is just one in several very serious threats the United States Capitol Police are investigating in which individuals threatened to shoot, lynch, or cause me serious bodily harm.”

Waters propensity to lie and make everything about her while excoriating the President for every ill foisted upon her may make you skeptical of such claims. Regardless, if anyone is making such threats it needs to end now.

Peaceful protests are fine … Like this one outside of Waters’ lavish home.

There is so much hilarity going on in that ‘protest’ that it’s difficult to know where to begin.

The fact that there are three people in attendance? The gaudy gigantic font signs? Or the awful rhyming chants that the left is known for?

“Hey Maxine, where’s your niceness gene?” the group yelled.

Protesters are simply playing by the Congresswoman’s own rules. Well, not exactly, since they haven’t harassed her in a public setting such as a restaurant, gas station, or grocery store.

You know, the way she encouraged and incited people to do to Republicans.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she told supporters at a rally.

Her actions led Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis to call her “the pied piper for the unhinged left with her rantings and ravings.”

“I don’t think she’s fit to serve” in Congress, he added.

Neither do we.
