According to testimony delivered by a New York City art dealer, Hunter Biden was aware that his “sugar brother” lawyer was one of the top buyers of his amateur paintings, purchasing nearly $1 million worth of the artwork.

If true, this marks a blatant violation of the White House ethics plan cited by the Joe Biden administration in their efforts to legitimize the sale of Hunter’s paintings.

Georges Bergès, owner of an art gallery in Manhattan, testified that attorney Kevin Morris purchased $875,000 worth of artwork in a January 2023 deal.

According to a Fox News report, Bergès testified that Morris “worked with Hunter to figure out the financial implications” involved in paying a 40% commission on the $875,000 purchase.

Hunter Knew Who His Paintings Were Sold To

Hunter’s “Sugar Brother” is a term used to describe his close friend and financial backer Morris, who is a Hollywood lawyer and producer that has been a significant source of support for the president’s son in recent years.

Morris has reportedly provided financial assistance to Hunter, including paying off a $2 million tax bill in 2023, which helped Hunter avoid a potential federal investigation.

Morris, who resembles the product of DNA combined from actor Gary Busey and comedian Ron White, was at Hunter’s side when the First Son staged his recent congressional stunt. Hunter crashed his own contempt hearing before fleeing the proceedings after Congresswoman Nancy Mace suggested that he should be arrested on the spot.

He was also spotted smoking from a bong outside his Los Angeles home while Hunter was visiting just after the President’s son had received a sweetheart plea deal for tax crimes and an illegal gun purchase that was contingent on his remaining drug and crime-free for two years.

Violation Of The White House Ethics Plan

The New York Times reported in 2021 that the sale of Hunter’s artwork “raised questions in Washington about whether the works might attract buyers seeking to curry favor with the Biden White House.”

To combat those questions, the administration crafted an ethics plan to conceal his patrons’ identities.

The Washington Post had said the plan means the sale of Hunter Biden’s paintings “will be kept confidential from even the artist himself, in an attempt to avoid ethical issues that could arise as a presidential family member tries to sell a product with a highly subjective value.”

Bergès testified that another buyer of the paintings that Hunter was aware had done so was Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, who spent $42,000 on his artwork in February 2021.

What makes the Naftali revelation more intriguing is that the Business Insider described her as “indeed someone who got a favor from the Biden White House.”

The outlet reported that “eight months after Hunter Biden’s first art opening, Joe Biden announced Hirsh Naftali’s appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.”

Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said in a statement that the White House ethics plan was a “sham” illuminated as such by Bergès’ testimony.

“The Biden White House appears to have deceived the American people about facilitating an ethics agreement governing the sale of Hunter Biden’s art,” Comer said.

“The vast majority of Hunter Biden’s art has been purchased by Democrat donors, one of whom was appointed by President Biden to a prestigious commission after she purchased Hunter Biden’s art for tens of thousands of dollars shortly after Joe Biden’s inauguration,” he added. “The White House has a lot of explaining to do about misleading the American people.”
