A report by John Solomon of The Hill indicates that documents providing “the most damning evidence to date” of FISA abuses under Barack Obama have been requested for declassification by House Republicans.
The documents include email exchanges between former FBI Director James Comey, investigators in the Russia probe, and lawyers in the Department of Justice national security division.
According to Solomon, the email conversations occurred prior to the FBI successfully securing a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, and demonstrate the intelligence community had lingering doubts about the reliability of the infamous Steele dossier.
That dossier was a key to obtaining the warrant.
“Sources tell me the email chain provides the most direct evidence that the bureau, and possibly the DOJ, had reasons to doubt the Steele dossier before the FISA warrant was secured,” Solomon wrote.

Comey knew the evidence was shady, but went after Trump anyway
Speculation over the fact that Comey’s FBI used the shady dossier as a basis for spying on the Trump campaign has abounded. The email exchanges, however, would provide tangible proof that Comey aided the Obama administration in duping the courts into administering the FISA warrant.
“If these documents are released, the American public will have clear and convincing evidence to see the FISA warrant that escalated the Russia probe just before Election Day was flawed and the judges (were) misled,” according to Solomon’s source.
How long do we have to wait for these FISA abuse claims to come out, not just from a few radio hosts??? These ppl will never be held accountable bc we have a weak AG!

North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows has said he believes the FBI’s investigation was “certainly not one built on a solid foundation.”
“The FBI under President Obama got a warrant to spy on Trump campaign associate Carter Page at the height of the 2016 election,” said Fox News host Sean Hannity. “In order to achieve that, they presented the FISA court judge with ‘evidence’ that the FBI knew was sketchy and was not verified, and they themselves had doubts about.”
Hannity was also quick to point out that the FBI hid the source behind the funding of the Steele dossier – Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
“The FBI withheld from the American public and Congress, until months later, that Steele had been paid to find his dirt on Trump by a firm doing political opposition research for the Democratic Party and for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and that Steele himself harbored hatred for Trump,” Solomon concurred.
How high did it go?
Conservative talk show host and constitutional law expert Mark Levin has said that he believes Barack Obama himself must have known Hillary Clinton paid for the dossier which the FBI then used to secure the warrant.

“It’s his (Obama’s) FBI, his Department of Justice, his State Department, his candidate,” Levin said last February. “I cannot believe for a minute that the National Security Council didn’t know about this.”
“How can they get away with that abuse of power?” Hannity asked upon hearing The Hill report.
Solomon concludes, “If ever there were grounds to investigate the investigators, these facts provide the justification.”
