Cindy McCain, the widow of the late senator John McCain, will reportedly be named President Biden’s ambassador to the U.N. World Food Program.
McCain would become the first Republican to a Senate-appointed role under the Biden administration.
Politico indicates McCain is undergoing a background check for the position which is based in Rome, Italy.
“As chair of the McCain Institute board of trustees, McCain has worked on curbing world hunger and human trafficking,” the outlet writes.
The Biden administration is expected to name most of its ambassadors at the same time.
Politico cites two unidentified sources in their report, though there has been no official word from the White House as of yet.

Is McCain’s Ambassador Role Payback for Her Endorsement?
Several news outlets have reported that Cindy McCain’s role as ambassador restarts a tradition of three presidents prior to Donald Trump who named someone from the opposing party to a Cabinet position.
But it certainly has a feeling of being less about her party enrollment – which is questionable at best – and more about her endorsement of Biden in the critical swing state of Arizona in 2020.
The Times of London in late November quoted a source close to Biden as saying an ambassadorship is “hers if she wants it” because “she delivered Arizona … they know that.”
That report was referencing a UK ambassadorship, as opposed to a UN ambassadorship, though the wink-and-a-nod payback seems to have come to fruition regardless.

The McCain Family Are the Biggest Sellouts in Politics Today
Cindy McCain as an ambassador under Joe Biden is a perfect example of the entire family completely selling out their morals and beliefs.
Shortly after the election, conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin sarcastically congratulated Mrs. McCain for being responsible for Biden’s win in Arizona.
Levin also accused her of settling a score by “screw(ing) over the rest of the country.”
Congratulations Cindy McCain. You helped cost us Arizona.

And she screwed the country because Donald Trump was mean to her husband. The absolute cowardice.
“I think my husband would be very pleased,” McCain gloated after Biden’s victory. “We were good friends with the Bidens. And I just know he is looking down and going, ‘You did the right thing.'”
‘Doing the right thing’ as Cindy claims John McCain would have been pleased with, apparently involves selling out every one of your principal beliefs because Trump was personally unpleasant to you.
Imagine pretending to be a Republican while working on behalf of an administration that supports government funding of abortions, will be taxing the hell out of the American people, and has created a humanitarian crisis at the border – including in Arizona.

The McCains have a long history of demonstrating the fact that their spines have been replaced by jelly. Going to work for the Biden administration is just another sign of that.
Her husband campaigned forever on repealing and replacing Obamacare and when given the chance to vote gave it a thumbs down.
Worse, Cindy essentially sold out in the hopes that Biden would reward her personally. Sure, it worked out for Mrs. McCain, but to the detriment of America.
But then, that’s all the McCains are truly concerned about – themselves, not the American people.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
