Chris Cuomo is reportedly preparing to sue his former network CNN for $18 million following claims that network President Jeff Zucker knew all about the anchor’s efforts to help brother Andrew Cuomo fight off sexual misconduct allegations.
Cuomo was fired over the weekend following a New York Attorney General report regarding multiple sexual harassment claims against the former Governor.
The anchor is alleged to have used media sources to track down information on sexual harassment accusers against the disgraced former Governor of New York.
A statement by Cuomo, however, maintains that Zucker knew all about his activities.
“They were widely known to be extremely close and in regular contact, including about the details of Mr. Cuomo’s support for his brother,” a spokesman told the Wall Street Journal.
“There were no secrets about this, as other individuals besides Mr. Cuomo can attest.”

Chris Cuomo To Sue CNN, Jeff Zucker?
Much like his scandal-ridden brother, Chris Cuomo appears unwilling to hang his head in shame and go quietly into the sunset of his career. Reports indicate he is looking to get paid by suing CNN.
Sources for the New York Post reveal Cuomo “has hired lawyers and is preparing to file the lawsuit over the remainder of the four-year contract he signed last year.”
According to those same sources, the ousted anchor was owed $6 million annually, meaning somewhere between $18 and $20 million are still on the table.
.@RedSteeze was absolutely right — Cuomo probably knows where just about every body is buried at Jeff Zucker’s CNN.

On the other hand, the Post indicates CNN isn’t about to back down to Cuomo’s threat.

The network, according to them, has “no intention of paying Cuomo a penny,” pointing out that “if he gets a settlement, there would be an uproar.”

Don Lemon Interjected Himself Into Another Case
As the saga involving Cuomo has been ongoing, another star anchor at CNN found himself accused of interjecting himself into another high-profile scandal.
Don Lemon, Cuomo’s main bromance, allegedly had correspondence with actor Jussie Smollett as he was enveloped in a scandal where he appears to have orchestrated and choreographed a fake hate crime.
Smollett, who is currently on trial for faking the hate crime and filing a false police report, testified on his own behalf Monday.
During his testimony, the actor said he received a text from Lemon supposedly warning him that the Chicago Police Department didn’t believe his account of what happened.

Podcast host Joe Rogan obliterated CNN as the scandals mount and the potential for Chris Cuomo to sue them starts to percolate.
“The way I look at CNN now is so different than the way I looked at CNN 15, 20 years ago. I used to look at them as this is how I get the news,” Rogan said.
“These are the real journalists that are telling you the news,” he said of his past impression. “Now I look at them, I go, ‘You f***ing propagandists, the right-arm of Pfizer. What are you doing?”

Rogan added that he, like most of America, just wants the news from a news network, not “this left-wing propaganda network, which is what CNN has become.”
Cuomo has found an unlikely ally in Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, who lambasted CNN for firing him over the crime of aiding his brother. Especially when there was so much more on his disgraceful resume.
“Your most basic obligation is to the people you are related to,” Carlson pointed out. “When they need your help – no matter who they are, even if you’re the governor of a state, even if they are horrible people – you help them anyway because it’s your family.”
“Chris Cuomo may be an idiot – and he is – but he understands that,” he added. “What a thing to be fired for.”

If he does in fact sue CNN, Chris Cuomo may reveal just how in-depth Zucker’s knowledge was regarding one of his star’s efforts to help Andrew Cuomo.
