Report: Biden Considering Hillary Clinton For UN Ambassador

Hillary Clinton Biden

Joe Biden’s transition team is reportedly eyeing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a potential ambassador to the United Nations (UN).

The media-named president-elect has already gone forward in setting up and planning a team for when he is officially cited as president, naming Big Tech lobbyist Ron Klain as his chief of staff.

Now, the Washington Post reports, other “intriguing” names are being batted around in “private” conversation.

One of those names is Mrs. Clinton.

An anonymous source told the Post that Hillary is being considered for the role of ambassador to the U.N. because “it would be a way for Biden to highlight the importance of that position in his administration.”

“Placing her there would raise the prestige of the U.N. itself,” the source added, “at a time when global cooperation, and the U.S. role on the world stage, has ebbed.”

Biden Possibly Naming Hillary Clinton as UN Ambassador

It certainly wouldn’t be far-fetched for Biden to appoint Clinton to the role of UN Ambassador.

It’d be a way to give a consolation prize of sorts for the former First Lady who has been bitter ever since losing the 2016 election in remarkable fashion.

Still, you have to wonder with the Washington Post’s source, who is described as a “person familiar with the chatter who spoke on the condition of anonymity.”

According to the report, other names being considered for roles as senior advisers are his former chief of staff Steve Richetti, former Delaware Sen. Ted Kaufman, and former National Security Adviser Tom Donilon.

Biden has previously stated he would wait for the results of the election to be independently verified before declaring victory and moving forward.

It is clear he has reneged on that promise, since President Donald Trump has refused to concede the race, it has not been certified, and his campaign has waged legal challenges in several pivotal swing states.

A Significant Step Down From Nikki Haley

There is little doubt Clinton would return the United States to the Obama-Biden era of capitulation to our adversaries, bowing to the whim of the United Nations at every turn.

Nikki Haley, a former ambassador to the U.N. under President Trump, served admirably in making sure America was no longer the rest of the world’s patsy.

“That’s because we care more about being right than popular and are once again standing up for our interests and values,” Haley once told members of the U.N.
