The country music star Reba McEntire spoke out earlier this month to reveal her secret to feeling so joyful.

McEntire ‘At A Really Good Place’ In Her Life

“I’m at a really good place in my life,” McEntire, 68, told People Magazine. “I’m happy, I’m in love. My kids are all healthy. My family’s healthy. So I’m happy.”

McEntire went on to reveal her New Year’s resolutions, explaining that she has both professional and personal ones as we head into 2024.

“Professional would be to continue doing what I love to do. Say no to the things that won’t be fun. Say yes to the things that will be,” she said. “Personal is to have fun — just continue being happy and healthy. That’s what I pray for daily.”

McEntire’s Love Life

McEntire has been dating her boyfriend Rex Linn, an actor known for his work on shows like “CSI: Miami,” for nearly four years.

McEntire has been married twice, with her first husband being Charlie Battles, to whom she was married from 1976 until they divorced in 1987. She then married Narvel Blackstock in 1989, remaining with him for 26 years until they divorced in 2015 in a split that she openly admitted was very difficult for her. Meanwhile, Linn has never been married, but he was engaged to Renee DeRese in 2010.

“It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on,” McEntire said of Linn in 2020, according to Yahoo News. “Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career. It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart and is interested in me, too.”

Earlier this year, McEntire opened up about originally meeting Linn when they both worked on the 1991 film The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw decades before they got together romantically.

“I was one of the actors. He was one of the actors, and he gets a big kick out of it — he says his part was riding into a saloon on a 4-year-old Colt and going, ‘Yeehaw!'” she recalled back in April, according to US Weekly.

“We stayed in communication all those years, and then in 2020, right before the [coronavirus] pandemic, we had dinner together and have been together ever since. I couldn’t get close enough to him,” she added. “I’m telling you, he’s a great guy to be in love with.”

McEntire Wraps First Season On ‘The Voice’

McEntire is also as busy as ever professionally, as she just wrapped up her first season as a coach on “The Voice.” Just before the finale, McEntire said that her favorite part about working on the show was all the new friends that she made.

“Working with the contestants, hanging out with the coaches,” she said. “I’ve had so much fun. And the crew is wonderful. I’ve gotten to meet so many people that I’ll never forget.”

We’re so glad to see that McEntire is at such a good place in her life, and we hope that her 2024 is even better than this past year was for her!
