Russian President Vladimir Putin wished Joe Biden “good health” and recalled his country’s U.S. Ambassador after the American president said he is a ‘killer’ with no soul.
In an interview with ABC News Wednesday, Biden was asked whether or not he thought Putin was “a killer,” to which he replied: “Uh-huh, I do.”
Reporter George Stephanopoulos then harkened back to an interview in 2014 when Biden made the questionable claim that he told Putin to his face that he is soulless.
“I said, ‘Mr. Prime Minister, I’m looking into your eyes, and I don’t think you have a soul,'” Biden told New Yorker magazine at the time. “He looked back at me, and he smiled, and he said, ‘We understand one another.'”
“I did say that to him, yes,” Biden told Stephanopoulus.
The President went on to threaten “you’ll see shortly” the price Putin is going to pay for trying to interfere in American elections.

Putin Responds To Biden’s Threat
The Russian embassy responded swiftly, withdrawing its ambassador to the U.S. for “consultations” on topics involving “ways to rectify Russia-U.S. ties that are in crisis.”
Putin also responded directly to Biden’s accusation that he is a ‘killer.’
“I remember in my childhood, when we argued in the courtyard we used to say: it takes one to know one,” he told reporters. “And that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke.”

Putin proceeded to make a rather ominous statement, coming from a man the President believes is a ‘killer.’
“I would say to him [Biden]: I wish you good health,” Putin said. “I say that without irony and not as a joke.”

Diplomacy Is Back?
It wasn’t that long ago when Democrats were aghast at former President Trump and his supposed saber-rattling towards foreign adversaries.
U.S. Secretary of State Antonin Blinken took a shot at Trump recently with a tweet that said: “Diplomacy is back at the center of U.S. foreign policy.”
In a speech in February, Biden used those same words to announce, “America is back. Diplomacy is back at the center of our foreign policy.”
And Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, during a speech at the announcement for her nomination said, “America is back, multilateralism is back, diplomacy is back.”

Instead, we have the President threatening the Russian President.
We have U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin declaring that U.S. forces are ready to “fight tonight” following criticism of military drills from North Korea.
In regards to Russia, it really should have been quite easy to establish diplomatic relations.
Putin is, after all, the same man who said he is prepared to work with Biden if he wins the election by noting Democrats share an “ideological basis” with Russia.
