A self-described ‘progressive’ city official and donor to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign snapped during a Board of Trustees meeting in Oak Park, Illinois, hurling racist taunts at her colleagues.
The topic of the meeting? Racial equality.
Susan Buchanan, who touts her “progressive values” and “sound judgment” on her village trustee campaign website, exercised unsound judgment and a distinct inability to control her emotions while the board discussed a resolution in support of diversity.
A rewrite of the village’s diversity statement got heated when participants debated on the phrase, “We work to break down systems of oppression.”

“Oak Park buys into diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Trustee Dan Moroney harmlessly noted, though he later stated why the ‘systems of oppression’ statement troubled him.
“I hesitate to send the message to our police department that they are a system of oppression,” Moroney explained.

Shortly thereafter, Buchanan, as is common with many progressive activists, lost her marbles.
“You have been white from birth,” Buchanan screeched at colleagues who did not agree with the portrayal of oppression. “Why are you arguing what is a system of oppression? You’ve never experienced one, so shut up! I don’t want to hear from you!”

“This mayor and this board is obviously not willing to face history,” she continued. “We have a chance to make history. It is time for this community to face equity. Enough! And you stop it! You are a white male! You stop it, you are a white male! Your skin is light enough. Stop it!”
‘Your skin is light enough.’
‘Stop it, you are a white male.’
Buchanan, who is herself decidedly white, said this at a discussion about racial diversity.
After a few days had passed, Buchanan said: “I probably showed more emotion than I should have.”
You also showed a lot more racism and stupidity than you should have, but we digress.
Another note on her background – this woman is a physician.
“As a family doctor and researcher, I understand the importance of studying problems in depth while listening to and addressing the needs of my patients and communities I serve,” Buchanan’s campaign site reads.
Can you imagine getting this lunatic as your family doctor?

Liberals love diversity and, well, you white males better accept it and shut your mouths!
“People of goodwill can have differences of opinion,” Moroney told CBS Chicago. “I don’t think it’s OK to silence voices when at the heart, there is tremendous agreement.”
While Buchanan might be an obscure politician, her comments are quite similar to some prominent members of the Democrat party.
Is this outburst much different from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) suggesting Americans “should be more fearful of white men”?

Or that this country “is not going to be the country of white people”?
@ttuckerwwl Forefathers would be so proud:
Asserting that America “was founded on the history of Native American genocide, on the backs of black slaves,” she went on to brazenly state, “This is not going to be the country of white people.”https://t.co/aOXOYb0BGP

Is it so different than Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) saying only blacks can run facial recognition software because other whites think they “all look the same.”

Or Joe Biden saying racism is “a white man’s problem”?

Or Marianne Williamson, who insists she’s not a “wacky new-age nutcase,” demanding white fans at a tour event join her in a ‘prayer of apology’ to black members in attendance.

Buchanan, just like members of the Democrat party, just like leaders in the Squad, want diversity, they just don’t want those pesky white people to be a part of it.
