President Trump: Chuck Schumer Must Face Consequences For Threatening Supreme Court Justices

President Trump called for “serious action” to be taken against Senator Chuck Schumer after the New York Democrat issued an explicit threat against Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch.

The startling scene took place at an extremist pro-abortion rally held in close proximity to the court itself.

“They’re taking away fundamental rights,” Schumer (D-NY) said of Republican legislators who defend the fundamental rights of babies.

He then pivoted to a direct threat.

“I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price,” Schumer shouted, pointing a stern finger. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Outrage

Schumer’s alarming threat against the Supreme Court was met with widespread outrage. Well, except of course with our friends in the mainstream media who, if presented with a similar scenario involving the President instead of Schumer, would have been apoplectic.

Wasn’t it just days ago that there was a collective meltdown after Trump suggested some liberal Justices should recuse themselves from any cases involving his administration?

“This dangerous rhetoric has dangerous consequences. Where’s the media outrage?” asked Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA).

Where indeed?

Schumer’s comments were so out of line, it led Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to issue a rare public statement condemning the Democrat senator.

“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous,” Roberts insisted. “All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”

He Must Face Consequences

Roberts is correct, Chuck Schumer’s threat is not only born of ignorance, but they are also quite likely to inflame unhinged abortion supporters.

President Trump is demanding he faces consequences.

“This is a direct [and] dangerous threat to the U.S. Supreme Court by Schumer,” Trump railed. “If a Republican did this, he or she would be arrested, or impeached. Serious action MUST be taken NOW!”

The President later advised that Schumer “must pay a severe price” for his reckless comments.

Will he be punished or publicly reprimanded for these vile attacks against the Supreme Court?

Rather than issue a reply to Roberts full of contrition for his vile acts, a Schumer spokesperson continued attacks on Roberts saying he was biased, hinting that he is a far-right activist justice.

Anybody who has followed the Supreme Court over the years knows Roberts is more left-leaning than anything else.

“For Justice Roberts to follow the right wing’s deliberate misinterpretation of what Sen. Schumer said, while remaining silent when President Trump attacked Justices Sotomayor and Ginsberg last week, shows that Justice Roberts does not just call balls and strikes,” Schumer’s office replied.

They then falsely claimed Schumer’s threat was directed at Republican lawmakers, not the Supreme Court.

“It was a reference to the political price [Republicans] will pay for putting them on the court and a warning that the justices will unleash major grassroots movement on the issue of reproductive rights against the decision,” they said.

False.

Go ahead and watch that video clip again. There is no way to misinterpret what Schumer was saying. It was a direct and explicit threat against the court, and he must be dealt with for making such a reprehensible statement.
