While speaking at a congressional forum on Monday, Gold Star father Darin Hoover slammed President Joe Biden and his administration over the botched troop withdrawal from Afghanistan that took place in the summer of 2021.
The poorly planned withdrawal led to a suicide bombing at the airport in Kabul, killing 13 service members. One of those killed was Hoover’s son, Darin Taylor Hoover, who served in the Marines for over a decade.
His father angrily denounced President Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Mark Milley for their failed leadership, and called on each to resign.
“Be a grown a** man. Admit to your mistakes. Learn from them so that this doesn’t happen ever, ever again,” Hoover railed, pointing to each but “ultimately” to Biden.
“You all need to resign immediately. Our sons, daughters have more integrity in their little toes than every one of them combined,” he said.

Gold Star Mother Slams Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal
Hoover’s gold star mother, Kelly Barnett, also delivered powerful testimony at the forum, shredding Biden over the withdrawal from Afghanistan, one of the first scandals of his scandal-ridden presidency.
Barnett called the president and the Pentagon “incompetent, cowards, evil.”

Barnett claimed her son was told to “clean up the airport” where he died at the hands of a sucicide bomber because “we can’t leave it dirty for the Taliban.”
“What kind of disrespect? What kind of hatred for our military? What kind of mess? Confusion. Deceit. Lost. Angry. Sad. Heartbroken and disgusted. These are the feelings that the service members felt. And are still feeling. These are the feelings I’m feeling,” she said fighting back tears.

Gold Star Families Furious With Biden
Many gold star parents have been extremely critical of President Biden over the Afghanistan withdrawal and the deadly suicide bombing that ensued because of it.

Kathy McCollum, the mother of United States Marine Rylee McCollum, who was killed in the bombing, blamed Democrat voters for her son’s death and slammed President Biden as a “dementia-ridden piece of crap.”

Shana Chappell, another gold star mother whose 20-year-old son Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui also lost his life in the botched withdrawal, invited former President Donald Trump to her son’s funeral and snubbed Biden.

Chappell claimed that President Biden rolled his eyes at a meeting in which she remembered her son.
“You tried to interrupt me and give me your own sob story and I had to tell you, ‘This isn’t about you so don’t make it about you!’” Chappell wrote on social media.

Biden has been callous and indifferent to the gold star family members in the past, often suggesting he feels their pain because of his own son’s death.
Beau Biden passed away from brain cancer in 2015 at the age of 46. He had served in Iraq with the U.S. Army.
President Biden was heavily criticized after being caught checking his watch several times during a dignified transfer of military remains for the 13 fallen service members killed in Afghanistan.

“They would release the salute and he looked down at his watch on every last one,” Hoover claimed following the ceremony. “All 13, he looked down at his watch.”
One can’t help but think that former President Trump would never have done such a thing.
