It’s about time someone grew a spine and did this.

Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona, in anticipation of tonight’s State of the Union speech by President Donald Trump, is ensuring that everyone present for the address is a legal resident of the United States.

Crazy, right? Actually enforcing U.S. law within the confines of the U.S. Capitol. Whoever thought of such a crazy notion?

Apparently Rep. Gosar has, along with every other sane American who thinks the rule of law means something. He’s asking Capitol Police and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to ensure that no illegal aliens attend a speech meant for legal residents of America.

Gosar’s proposal is, of course, eminently sensible. U.S. law should be enforced everywhere within U.S. borders, especially in the very place the laws are created.

But, obviously, that’s only what backwards neanderthals think, judging by the replies to Gosar’s announcement. Check out these vile responses:

Can you say triggered?
