New York socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demanded that Democrats take action and ram through impeachment proceedings because it “is an emergency.”
“Yes, this is an emergency,” the congresswoman tweeted to her followers. “We don’t have the luxury of time [with] another committee. Judiciary has been investigating [and] putting the pieces together for months. Impeachment belongs there.”
Ocasio-Cortez was responding to the once respectable Bill Kristol, whose Trump derangement has him in agreement suggesting “a fair, fast, and focused inquiry is key.”
Ramming through impeachment, something American voters vehemently oppose, doesn’t sound fair at all. Especially in a Democrat-controlled house of Congress.
Ocasio-Cortez’s ’emergency’ allegedly took place in July when Trump ordered acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to freeze roughly $400 million in military aid to Ukraine.
The order happened to come just days before Trump had – also allegedly – requested that the new Ukrainian president investigate business dealings of former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
An administration official has said that the two events were purely coincidental, explaining that the President had halted the aid due to “lack of support from other countries” and “concerns about corruption in the country.”

The emergency is that they need Trump out of office before he mops the floor with whatever extremist the Democrats run against him in 2020.
Democrats have been pushing impeachment even before the President took office in January of 2017, on items as vast as the Russia collusion hoax, to emoluments clauses, and even his mean tweets about NFL players.
Ocasio-Cortez, however, is super serious and would never suggest impeachment for ridiculous or frivolous reasons. Just kidding – She’s previously implied he should be impeached over tax cuts and Census questions.

The freshman congresswoman over the weekend slammed her own party for not pursuing impeachment as the ’emergency’ she believes it is.
“At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior – it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it,” she said.
And yet, they still have yet to find any actual ‘lawbreaking behavior.’
Even with the media foaming at the mouth over the Trump-Ukraine story, the Associated Press reported: “It is not clear what law, if any, Trump may have broken by urging the Ukrainian government to re-open the case.”
But we’re supposed to believe the former bartender has figured it all out.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is convening a meeting of Democrats at 4 pm this afternoon to discuss whether they should move on impeachment in light of these new reports.
