Here’s one liberal talking point I’ll never understand following any mass public shooting: the NRA “has blood on their hands.” Are the people calling for gun control after every tragedy ever able to name a single gun control policy that would’ve prevented the relevant massacre? They’re never able to do that, and thus it’s unclear what gun control policies the NRA is standing against.
The usual batch of celebrity and pundit idiots blasted the NRA following the church shooting in Texas on Sunday, in which 26 people were killed.

The @NRA is soaked and bathed in blood. How do its adherents sleep at night?

The NRA has the blood of those murdered in Texas yesterday. Send people to Congress in 2018 that will stand up to them #TexasChurchMassacre

The NRA is certainly a bizarre organization to attack, when one of the men who fired back at the shooter, thereby ending the massacre, was an NRA-certified firearms instructor. According to 40/29 News, “Stephen Willeford shot and chased the man who killed 26 people in a Texas church on Sunday. He spoke to 40/29 News in an exclusive sit-down interview on Monday. Willeford was at home when his daughter came into his bedroom to tell him she heard gunshots at the First Baptist Church nearby. Willeford, a former NRA instructor, got his rifle out of his safe while his daughter looked outside again. She ran back in and told him she saw a man in black tactical gear shooting up the church.”
After being interviewed, Willeford said: “I kept hearing the shots, one after another, very rapid shots – just ‘pop pop pop pop’ and I knew every one of those shots represented someone, that it was aimed at someone, that they weren’t just random shots. He saw me and I saw him. I was standing behind a pickup truck for cover.”

And apparently this needs to be pointed out: No mass public shootings have been carried out by known NRA members. An Islamic terrorist (such as the one who carried out the Pulse Nightclub shooting) can literally tell us why he’s doing what he is while carrying out an attack and liberals will pretend that the motives are a mystery – but in the same breath, blame the NRA for the incident.
According to the Washington Post’s tracker of mass public shootings over the past 50 years (defined as a shooting where at least three were killed), there were 948 such culprits, and they came from nearly every imaginable race, religion and socioeconomic background. Additionally, 145 were children or teenagers.
And while the NRA boasts over five million members today, and has been around for the entirety of modern American history, not a single mass public shooter has been a known member.
