Nationals Player Whips Out MAGA Hat During White House Celebration

Kurt Suzuki, catcher for the World Series champion Washington Nationals, surprised onlookers when he donned a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat during the team’s visit to the White House.

President Trump was reminiscing with the crowd about a game in early September in which the Nationals entered the bottom of the 9th inning down by six runs to the New York Mets.

Suzuki hit a walk-off three-run home run to complete the incredible comeback.

“You were down six runs against the Mets,” Trump recalled at the White House event. “In the bottom of the ninth, you scored seven runs – I do remember that well – including an amazing three-run homer by Kurt Suzuki.”

The President then called for Suzuki, who appeared with a MAGA hat, placed it on his head, and said: “I love you all, thank you!”

Trump’s reaction was priceless …

Suzuki, who had a pivotal momentum-changing home run in game 2 of the World Series, will have his spikes featured at the Hall of Fame.

Not Everyone on the Nationals Went to the White House

Let’s see if Suzuki’s support for the President is met with the same amount of media coverage as that of Sean Doolittle, a platoon reliever for the Nationals who refused to attend the ceremony at the White House.

Doolittle made the false claim that President Trump’s words somehow enable racism and white supremacy.

“The rhetoric, time and time again, has enabled those kinds of behaviors,” Doolittle told the Washington Post.

“That never really went away, but it feels like now people with those beliefs, they maybe feel a little bit more empowered. They feel like they have a path, maybe,” he claimed. “I don’t want to hang out with somebody who talks like that.”

It looks like Doolittle will now have a difficult time hanging out with Suzuki even though he is clearly not a supporter of white supremacy.

Teammate Joins in the Trump Praise

Suzuki wasn’t the only Nationals player making liberal heads explode at today’s White House celebration.

First baseman Ryan Zimmerman took the stage and thanked the President for “keeping everyone here safe in our country” and “continuing to make America the greatest country to live in the world.”

It’s only a matter of time before CNN and the other clowns in the mainstream media dig up something from Suzuki and Zimmerman’s past as a means to smear them.

Doolittle will be making media appearances for years to come while his Trump-supporting teammates will be harassed for daring to support the President.
