Nashville Mayor Spites Trump, Releases Spanish-Language Video on How to Avoid ICE

Nashville Mayor David Briley criticized President Trump over an illegal immigration raid that netted nearly 700 criminals in Mississippi, then immediately released a Spanish-language tutorial on how they can avoid ICE agents in his state.

How we haven’t gotten to a point in this country where people like this are hauled off to jail for aiding and abetting criminals is a mystery.

Briley took exception to the Mississippi raid saying, “Everyone deserves to feel safe in America – no matter where they come from – and @realDonaldTrump‘s ICE raids in Mississippi today are a disgrace to our values as a nation.”

Yea, but they’re a refreshing change of pace to those who value law, order, and the safety of Americans.

“I will continue working to ensure Nashville is a welcoming place for all residents,” he added.

Except, they’re not residents, they’re stowaways.

Warns Illegals

Directly following his complaint about the successful raids, Briley posted this video …

“You have rights in the United States regardless of your immigration status,” Briley tells his voting base illegals, according to a translation from the Tennessee Star.

“You have the right not to open your door unless the agents have an order signed by a judge,” he adds. “You have the right to remain silent and not sign papers before talking to a lawyer.”

“To all families that are afraid, I tell you that you are welcome,” Briley panders. “In Nashville, we are happy to have you here and we will do our best to keep your families safe.”

Understand that he is promising safety for illegal aliens at the possible expense of Americans or legal immigrants. Wendy Corcoran, a mother who lost her 22-year-old son in a car crash in Tennessee, might object to Briley’s premise.

Cost of Aiding and Abetting Criminals

Briley isn’t the first public official to cater to his criminal base, though he may have been the first to stoop so low as patronize them by speaking in Spanish.

The stunt was similar to Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf who tipped her community off to an eventual ICE raid.

Several individuals evaded arrest due to Schaaf’s buffoonery and were subsequently able to commit new crimes, including robbery, spousal abuse, and gun crimes.

It’s worth noting that nearly every Democratic presidential candidate in 2020 has tweeted messages about immigrant rights and how to avoid an encounter with ICE.

Schaaf should have been charged with accessory to the crimes. Briley should be charged with aiding and abetting criminals. The Democrat candidates have no business interviewing with the American people for a job in the White House.

Thomas Homan, the former Acting Director of ICE, said in 2018: “We’ve got to take [sanctuary cities] to court, and we’ve got to start charging some of these politicians with crimes.”

What a concept. Has the DOJ abandoned this idea? Time to lock them the hell up.
