Despite her prior efforts in leading the charge against the so-called Republican “war on women,” Pelosi, like most in politics, doesn’t practice what she politicizes.

During an interview with the Tampa Bay Times on Wednesday, Pelosi revealed her adoration for Alan Greyson, a man that’s been accused of domestic abuse by an ex-wife going back decades. “I love Alan Grayson. He was a very progressive member of Congress,” Pelosi said in the interview. She only had one minor complaint “I wish he would run in a different seat. I would love to have him back.”

Grayson served in Congress from 2009-2011 and again from 2013-2017. His 2016 reelection campaign was derailed by his ex-wife, who came forward to accuse Grayson of decades of domestic abuse.

As NTK Network news reported:

Grayson’s ex-wife repeatedly went to police with accusations of domestic abuse over a two-decade period, according to documents she has provided to POLITICO, revelations that come as the Florida congressman enters the final weeks of his Democratic primary campaign for Senate.”

“Lolita Grayson called police on her husband at least two times in Virginia and two more times in Florida, sought medical attention on at least two occasions and said that, in one instance, he had threatened to kill her, according to a police report.”

In response to the allegations, Alan claimed that it was actually him who was battered during the relationship.

He’s vying for a return to politics once again and announced on Tuesday that he’d be challenging Rep. Darren Michael Soto (D-FL) for his Congressional seat.

You’d think Pelosi’s objection to Grayson running for Congress would be that he’s an alleged domestic abuser, not that he’s running against a fellow Democrat. On the other hand, I guess this isn’t all surprising coming from the woman who once claimed that Ted Kennedy helped pass ObamaCare from heaven.
