Bette Midler and Other Anti-Trump Celebs Are in Meltdown Mode Over Mueller’s ‘No Collusion’ Conclusion

Many liberal stars just can't handle the truth

Singer and actress Bette Midler — a fervent anti-Trumper — is in denial after the Mueller report found no evidence that President Donald Trump or his associates “colluded” with Russian interests to sway the results of the 2016 presidential election.

In a Twitter post on Sunday night, the 73-year-old Midler (shown above left) actually slammed the president for forcing the country “to live through war for the last two years.”

“[D]epression, despair, confusion and death” — all of this, according to the liberal celebrity, were also Trump’s fault.

“We’re not just sick at heart, but literally sick from him, from uncontrollable rage at the thought that he will get away with his crimes,” Midler also wrote.

Midler is just one of many Hollywood celebrities and folks on the Left who are just not coming to grips with Mueller’s “principle conclusions,” which Attorney General William Barr articulated in a summary letter to Capitol Hill lawmakers.

Actor-director Rob Reiner, long a verbal anti-Trumper, also weighed in with thoughts.

“The fight for our democracy is about to intensify,” Reiner wrote on Twitter.

“The GOP cult is lining up behind a criminal autocrat,” he added. “We keep fighting the lies and corruption battles, but the war of saving 242 years of self rule will be won by destroying him overwhelmingly at the ballot box. FIGHT!”

Singer and actress Cher, always one to weigh in on affairs of the day, had this to offer her fans, using her typically odd capitalization of most words: “I Have Not, Nor Will I Change My Opinion Of trump, His Evil, Or His Ties To Russia. He Is up to his Neck in Crime & Corruption.”

Then she added, for good measure, in all caps: “THERE ARE TWO THINGS THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN FOREVER … THE SUN AND … THE TRUTH.”

“Star Trek” actor George Takei (above right) shared this remark: “If William Barr summarized ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ he’d probably say that Romeo murdered Juliet’s cousin, was banished for it, and is now dead.”

“Let’s wait to hear the full story,” he added.

As for the very verbal Rosie O’Donnell — the Robert Mueller tattoo plans she announced not long ago are likely now off.

Speaking back in the fall of 2017 to “Late Night” host Seth Meyers, O’Donnell gushed about her adoration of the special counsel.

“Today after your show I’m going to get a Bob Mueller tattoo,” O’Donnell told Meyers in November 2017.

“Because I love him!” she added, as People magazine reported at the time.

O’Donnell then talked about getting inked “right over my heart. I’m so in love with Bob Mueller. I want to get posters. I want to meet him. I just think he is it. He looks to me like Superman. Like Captain America. Like justice has finally arrived back on our shores and we are going to right ourselves again!”
