Melania Trump Receives University’s ‘Woman of Distinction’ Award Despite Protests

Melania Trump accepted a “Woman of Distinction” award Wednesday from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Christian school located in Florida.

During her acceptance speech, Mrs. Trump promoted her ‘Be Best’ anti-bullying initiative, as well as President Trump’s administration efforts to combat the opioid crisis.

Those initiatives she explained, have “been shining a light on programs across the country and overseas that help our youth understand what it means to Be Best.”

“It is my hope that by promoting Be Best values, we will give a voice to the concerns and struggles of our children, and help them overcome the challenges they face,” the First Lady explained.

Palm Beach Atlantic President William Fleming said Melania was the choice for this award due to her compassion and kindness, calling her – accurately – a worldwide role model.

Libs Triggered

Naturally, not everyone was thrilled with the selection of Melania Trump as a ‘woman of distinction’ despite her obviously being one.

The Hill reported that the school received “pushback from some students and alumni in Florida over the move.”

“This award has historically gone to women whose character and impact in Palm Beach has shaped the culture of our home, and I have not been convinced that the first lady’s character or impact here is worthy of that recognition,” one senior griped, clearly ill-prepared for the impending hardships he’ll encounter in the real world.

“Others,” he said, “felt that her character was not representative of the community of love for people of all backgrounds and beliefs that PBA houses and fosters.”

Mrs. Trump, during her speech, espoused those very qualities.

“We teach our children to cherish our values and care for each other, they are better prepared to carry on Americans’ legacy of compassion, service and patriotism,” she said.

The distinction here is that Melania’s values also include encouragement of law-abiding Americans, whereas the student clearly believes the law only applies to some and insistence upon adhering to it is, of course, racist.

Deserving of More Honors

Because of the mainstream media’s rabid bias, Melania Trump is often over-looked for significant honors or even run-of-the-mill magazine covers.

Conservative actor James Woods recently pointed out this disparity in how the left treats the “most stunning First Lady in American history.”

Mrs. Trump couldn’t even visit a hospital fairly recently to hug babies without major backlash from the staffers.

In 2017, Melania did secure a humanitarian award for her work on behalf of women and children given to her by the Kuwait-America Foundation.
